One of the chief motivations for promoting Mahmoud Abbas has been his reputation for being a moderate who has always eschewed terrorism. In the Beirut Daily Star, Reason contributing editor Michael Young considers the evidence that Abbas was a major player in the 1972 Munich Olympics attack.
By the way, Michael makes reference to some material that appeared in this Ha'aretz article about President Bush at the Aqaba conference, which shows the President in rare form, provides enormous insight on how the Road Map is being drawn, and is required reading for the eleven or twelve people who are still interested in the peace process.

Alright, learn to read.
The Ha'aretz article doe NOT show President Bush "in fine form." The minutes are transcriptions of *Abbas's* negotions with Hamas. Why don't you read the things that you link to, instead of just cribbing off of Julian?
I swear I haven't seen such intellectual laziness since I left the banks of the old Raritan.
Wait, so Abbas is just a mole to get close to Sharon so he can suicide bomb him? Can it be?
Speaking of illiteracy: It says "in rare form," not "in fine form," and nothing you mention subsequently has anything to do with what Tim wrote.
The citations of Bush in the article I linked come from "one of the participants in the three-way meeting." I don't know what transcriptions you're talking about. But your reference to dear old 'Gers leads me to suspect that you're making a joke-I haven't been as good at spotting put-ons since I left the banks of the ol' Raritan.
you neocons just can't take the fact that Ha'aretz is more accurate than Faux News!
eh.
Menachem Begin ran the terrorist group Irgun, which post-statehood was absorbed into the IDF, and politically gave root to the Likud party.
I seem to recall he made a peace treaty with Egypt or something.
