I think this is what they call "media convergence". The same half-baked stories circulating round and round.

The Agonist already apologized for missing the attribution for information copied from Stratfor. He had attributed plenty of other information to them and he even had a link to their site on his page. In an effort to be up-to-date, Mr. Kelly was copying stories via his Palm Pilot. He went back and attributed the stories when he was able.
