Loathsome People

Here are the 50 Most Loathsome People in America, according to The Beast.

Judging from what Sara Rimensnyder experienced after posting this, they may be getting more than a few e-mails over their Number 1 pick.

  1. Ineffably tiresome.

  2. The article, or the #1 pick?

  3. ann coulter is exactly the number one pick. who could argue with that. she is a nut who seems to be getting crazier in a farrah fawcett-meets-alexander haig way every time i see her writings or hear her on tv.

  4. No Hilary? No Sean Penn? No Mo’ D? No Howell Raines?

  5. Bono at #4? I can definitely see why people would be annoyed with him. I’m a big U2 fan and I still think he gets a bit arrogant at times. But number 4 out of the fifty most reviled people in America? What? Yeah, he acts like a know-it-all at times, but the stuff he is trying to accomplish could actually(possibly) make a difference some day. People I nominate to take his place: SNL Grab Bag: Chris Kattan, Cheri Oteri, pretty much everyone from the SNL casts of the past few years except for Will Ferrel and Darell Hammond. Jerry Falwell. Bloody obvious, if you ask me…crackpot extraordinaire. Most televangelists, for being wacky, money-hungry frauds. (I’m not anti-religion…just anti-right wing whacko religion.) Anyone involved in the production of “Dude, Where’s my Car?” That’s about it. If I think of any more, I’ll be back.
