T for Taxes
Americans now work one hour each day for state and local government. That's the portion of their paycheck absorbed by state and local taxes. That time will probably go up next year. Twenty-three governors have gained or requested some form of tax increase for 1992. Below is a sample of the smorgasbord of new taxes that Americans will soon be providing state governments.
