You wish. I wish! But I don't see any reason why they would abandon the ignore Ron Paul. Even ignoring the Tea Party, which has proven costlier, is not fatal to the status quo.
TP candidates that bullied their way into office over the wishes of the GOP establishment were ultimately stared down into submission on the Debt Ceiling, and are now being re-assimilated.
Ignoring Paul will carry no political consequence. At least not until the revolution.
