It's especially ironic if you read the papers, because Rick Perry couldn't remember that he wanted to cut the Department of Energy at the most recent debate. Go ahead, look it up. I'll wait.

Exactly! That's the point I made yesterday about him being a phony. If he can't remember the name of the department, which just happens to named after his favorite subject, how much conviction does he really have?

Yeah, the irony is especially strong because energy was the primary component of his economic recovery plan and was just about all he's talked about in previous debates. I wanted him to shut up about energy because he wouldn't stop talking about it a month ago.

So I'm glad that word will likely be the dagger that shuts him up finally.
