NPR CEO Resigns After Video Sting
National Public Radio President and CEO Vivian Schiller was reportedly forced out by NPR's board of directors in the wake of an embarrassing video sting released yesterday by conservative media stuntman James O'Keefe. Official statement here.
Will this of all things be the dynamite that blows up forcible taxpayer support of public broadcasting? As Jesse Walker wrote in our February issue, we've seen this drama several times before, and the third act always ends in more, not fewer, government strings attached.
