I was utterly baffled the first time I saw "tenther" used as an insult. I only wish that more of the "fourthers/fifthers/sixthers/eighthers" were also tenthers/"seconders", and vice-versa.
I'd also criticize the sadly high number of people who aren't "firsters", but at least in that case they mostly seem to be failing to understand the rights in question, rather than understanding them and despising them.

It's an original amendment in the Bill of Rights. It's never been replaced by an amendment. I'm pretty sure the Founders never referred to it as dicta.
It's actually proof-positive that the various exception-that-consumes-the-rule interpretations of the Commerce Clause and other clauses make no damned sense.
