Earnest ideologues do not make for good
politicians, writes David Harsanyi. Just ask Rand Paul, who made
the error of discussing the consequences of stripping citizens—even
racists—of their right to free association and speech. But as
Harsanyi notes, with issues like socializing medicine,
nationalizing the energy sector, and other various hyper-regulatory
projects on the table, we've got more important things to do than
debate the past.
