Caught a bit of useful media synergy on Catherine Crier's Court TV show last night: a discussion of the Michael Crowe case. The teenaged Crowe was accused of killing his sister and the cops got a confession out of him. Later DNA testing proved that he was not the murderer (a suspect is going on trial next year for the crime), meaning his confession had to be coerced. Luckily for Crowe, the police taped the interrogation, which took place in the absence of legal counsel or parents.
