Poll: Most Americans Expect Gridlock to Continue

Just 5 percent said the president and Congress have cooperated more than usual

A majority of Americans expect the gridlock currently plaguing Washington to persist or potentially even get worse next year, according to the results of a United Technologies/National Journal Congressional Connection Poll.

The poll found that 57 percent of Americans think President Barack Obama and Congress have cooperated less than usual in 2013, while just 5 percent said they have cooperated more than usual.
