Newark Settles With Teen Who Filmed Police

No matter the law, cops remain allergic to cameras

The American Civil Liberties Union says Newark police have reached a settlement with a teenager who was handcuffed and detained for taking a cellphone video of officers responding to a 2010 incident on a transit bus.

Khaliah Fitchette (kah-LEE'-uh fih-SHEHT') had accused police of illegally seizing her phone and deleting the video.
