Petraeus: Not Sure Why White House Talking Points Didn't Match CIA's on Benghazi

Former CIA Director David Petraeus told the House Intelligence Committee today that it's unclear why the Obama administration's original talking points on the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, don't match the CIA's original talking points.

    I can tell you why. The political operative thought that the real story would have hurt Obama's reelection chances.

    Yes, they waited until after the election, but that is what incumbent presidents always do with high-level appointees that will be one-termers.
