Springfield, MO, Pols Repeal Marijuana Initiative

The Springfield City Council voted Monday night to repeal the controversial marijuana ordinance brought to it by initiative petition.  In a 7 to 2 vote, council threw out the ordinance that it passed a few weeks ago.  The two opposing votes came from Scott Bailes and Doug Burlison.

Burlison supports the measure and pleaded with his colleagues to vote on an amended version that would remove a citizens oversight committee, rather than repeal the measure.
