I apologize for my blog silence the past five days. I have just finished work on a major book deadline (much more about that soon), so was unable to opine on the Court's final decisions. I have some thoughts. So stay tuned.

The Supreme Court exposed the incapable Jackson,Sotomayor and the lying Kagan.A good week. It made me look up Biden's comment on Jackson as one of the great legal minds of her generation. Reminds me of some students that make fun of Plato "man, he sure didn't get Philosopy" Bottom 10 of his law class and talking about great legal minds....:)

Does “lying” actually mean anything the way you use it? Or is it just a generic term of insult that signifies the person is regarded as a political enemy, someone not adhering to the party line, serving the same role as “lackey” and similarly meaningless generic insult epithets used in Stalinist propaganda that George Orwell analyzed in essays like “Politics and the English Language?”
