Back to something people actually care about, the Canadian Freedom Movement really highlights the double standards that rampant across "official" channels of government. The hypocrisy is so blatant only ideologues on the left are pretending to defend it. While we were told BLM looters, rioters, and arsonists were just "mostly peaceful protesters" who had a legitimate grievance against the government, and enjoyed at time almost official support from local, state, and federal officials, now we have actual non-violent protesters who are getting the full jackboot of the government. Currently lacking the resources to actually remove and disband the protest, their latest effort is to freeze and starve them out. Subjecting protesters to even uncomfortable conditions, such as the capitol hill occupation where an actual lawless zone was established, resulted in government support and was denounced as a tactic that squelched free speech. Here though lefts seem to find the tactic to be reasonable or are completely dismissive by saying things like "it is Canada...."
This is not getting lost on the vast majority of people who sat and watched the lawlessness of 2020 on their television, computer, and mobile device. The elites better take notice. Their attempts smear the freedom protesters as racists is not working all that well (these were clearly stage) and media black outs are also being ignored. These things tend to get a "head of steam" and trying to sit on building pressure usually means and explosion.
Until then it is popcorn time....
I'm saving my popcorn for the spectacle of these truck drivers finally learning something -- that automated trucking will make them obsolete. Moving from half-educated to 51-percent-educated, they will ditch their right-wingery and beg citizens with marketable skills, proper education, literacy, and other worthwhile attributes to subsidize them.
I will encourage my elected representatives to favor two responses:
'Now you have plenty of time to honk your horns, if you can afford horns'
'Go eat your goofy red hats, which I hope are delicious and nutritious.'
