I did the long follow on "The Case of the Speluncean Explorers", tracking all the prior cases on the high seas. Being a sailor that wants to be prepared for circumstances that are likely to occur, I have informed my wife not to admit to cannibalism when she is rescued alone.
I would define fairness as - following expected rules and norms of a community.
