Anyone here remember the National Lampoon's take on Taft?
He was a *GREAT* man.
Moreover, he was a *massive* man! As a great man, he is the only President to ALSO have been the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. Although his appointment as CJ may have been a political favour, he was in fact a pretty good judge and appeal judge before running for office. And a pretty good Chief Justice.
We will not see his type again... as I seriously think that no politician can now be elected who weighs 325 pounds and is shorter than 7'3"!
