8/1/1942: Military commissions conclude for eight nazi saboteurs. The Supreme Court upheld the constitutionality of these trials in Ex Parte Quirin.

How, exactly, were these Nazi saboteurs different from the Antifa thugs that we are dealing with today? The Antifa clearly are doing more damage than the Nazi saboteurs ever accomplished.

OK. Exactly what did these eight perps accomplish?
And then look at what the Antifa thugs *have* accomplished.

One thing I have never understood about this case is why Dasch and Burger, who turned themselves in to the FBI as soon as they could and thereby brought about the arrest of the others, were tried and sentenced to death, although they were eventually released in 1948. They did no harm to the United States and indeed assisted in the war effort. I don't see why they were prosecuted.
