1 - How is this related to Supreme Court history?
2 - This amendment does not remove anyone from office. It allows the Vice President to temporarily become "Acting President." The news media have repeatedly confused the 25th Amendment with the impeachment process. No President can be removed from office via the 25th Amendment.
