Olivia Newton-John's Grandfather Was Nobel-Winning Physicist Max Born
I had not known that!
Thanks to the Quantum Bullshit Detector for the tip. Max Born was a big man in quantum mechanics (among other matters), and some credit him with coining the term "quantum mechanics."

Interesting. Sad to see why she's in the news now; Dying of stage 4 breast cancer.
Nobel Prize winning physicist? Can he explain Xanadu?
Maybe that explains her old nickname, Olivia Neutron Bomb.

Gramps was a physicist
Expert on the nucleus,
Helped them with the atom bomb, the atom bomb..."

You see this all the time. It's like there's a small fraction of the population who are actual protagonists in history, and the rest of us are just extras.
Just to be clear, I was putting out some fake news. As far as I know it's fake, anyway.

Thanks for the clarification.
Snopes wouldn't make a big deal of it, it doesn't make Democrats look bad.
And I've heard that most white people alive today are related to (I think) Charlemagne.

You have about a quadrillion ancestors at that level of your family tree, so if he has any living descendants, it's going to be a hell of a lot.
And John Carlos Baez is cousin to Joan Chandon Baez.
Not far from Boston, MA is the little coastal town of Squantum, MA. A business which does not exist there, but ought to, would be a car repair place called, Squantum Mechanics.
