Back from the Galapagos
I haven't been blogging for the last week and a half, because I was on a family trip—we spent a week in the Galapagos Islands, and then two days in Quito. The Galapagos were tremendously interesting, both for my wife and me and for my two sons (both young teenagers); I highly recommend them for anyone who loves nature (or even mildly likes it, as I do), though the trip isn't cheap. Quito wasn't as stunning (few things are), but I also enjoyed it: Though it's on the equator, it's nestled in a lovely way high up in the Andes, so it's pleasantly cool as well as picturesque.
I expect to return to the usual blogging pace later this week, though I'm digging out a bit from all the work that has piled up.
