Jewecology -- a new word that might not catch on
Mark Swofford took this photograph of a store in Nagasaki, Japan, and Victor Mair of Language Log blogged about it:

The store calls itself an "eco style jewelries recycle store." Mair notes that the "Japanese are inordinately fond of portmanteau words," and that some, like "cosplay," have been great successes - but this one probably won't be.
UPDATE: Reader MonitorsMost pointed out that there is a Jewcology.com (and .org), "Home of the Jewish Environmental Movement."
