Bernie Supporters Furious at DNC Leaks, Vow #NeverHillary, Consider Third Party Vote
Reason TV talks to disgruntled voters at the #March4Bernie Rally the day before the DNC.
Before Hillary Clinton takes the stage to accept the nomination for president at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) this week in Philadelphia, she must first get Bernie Sanders supporters to unite behind the ticket.
But the release of some 20,000 emails published by Wikileaks days before the convention—which appear to show the Democratic National Committee favored Clinton's campaign over Sanders'—will make that task difficult, if not impossible. (Debbie Wasserman Schultz has announced she will step down as committee chair.)
The Wikileaks revelations have angered many frustrated Bernie supporters, who feel the primary process has become corrupt and that the Democratic establishment has left them behind.
Reason TV caught up with Sanders supporters at the #March4Bernie rally the day before the DNC officially kicks off to find out how they feel about Hillary Clinton, their reaction to the WikiLeaks emails, and if they would be open to voting for a third-party candidate like Gary Johnson.
NOTE: This was filmed before Schultz's resignation announcement.
Approximately 5 minutes.
