Will Smith and Joe Biden Both Messed Up
Plus, the Reason editors' thoughts on Ketanji Brown Jackson

In the latest Reason Roundtable, editors Matt Welch, Peter Suderman, Katherine Mangu-Ward, and Nick Gillespie discuss the violent turn at an otherwise standard Oscar Sunday as well as President Joe Biden's regrettable remark on Russia.
1:56: Will Smith slaps Chris Rock at the Oscars
13:51: Biden calls for regime change in Russia
27:49: Weekly listener question: "Do you think the U.S. has moved from a society of 'tolerance' to one of 'forced acceptance'? And based on your answer, do you think that's a positive or a negative? It seems to me that major 'culture war' issues bubble up when they are forced upon adults or involve children. For instance: No one really cared about drag queens until drag queen story hours. No one really cared about the trans movement until the bathroom bills and sports issues. Many more examples could be named, I'm sure."
40:55: Supreme Court hearings and thoughts about Ketanji Brown Jackson.

I'm already tired of Will Smith.
Biden had a press conference today that was a fucking disaster.
https://twitter.com/greg_price11/status/1508525310295351298?t=MDNCmBHvwZUrKTi68SD5hw&s=19
Doocy: "The big things you say on the world stage keep getting walked back."
Biden: "What's getting walked backed?"
Biden: You told troops they are going to Ukraine, the U.S. would use a chemical weapon, and called for regime change in Russia.
Biden: "None of the 3 occurred."
In this post we get both videos: The denial and the gaffes. Do you think there are a lot of women and children standing in front of 'a damn tank' in Poland?
https://simulationcommander.substack.com/p/biden-denies-gaffes-during-euro-trip
Maybe that's how they're training?
Define "women"
I’m not a biologist!
You forgot the: “dammit Jim”
I make 85 dollars each hour for working an online job at home. KLA03 I never thought I could do it but my best friend makes 10000 bucks every month working this job and she recommended me to learn more about it. The potential with this is endless.

He likely doesn't remember saying the comments. Might explain why he isn't walking them back himself.
It's my understanding that the media is re-interpreting his comments for us normies, by running his speech through their Bidenators.
Biden had a press conference today that was a fucking disaster.
You can say that again. And again...
Will Smith and Joe Biden Both Messed Up
C'mon, Man! Chris Rock wasn't as bad a dude as Corn-Pop! Cotn-Pop was a bad dude!
And apparently Zelensky gave a speech to the Israeli parliament which didn't go over with the Israelis well either.
Talking about how Ukranians helped the Jews in WW2 probably wasn't the best speech to give. Or remotely consistent with history.
Considering actual neo-Nazis have institutional power in the reconstituted Ukrainian government after the US-backed coup of 2014, you didn't need to go back to WWII.
Did he brag about the Azov battalion?
I hope so, along with byelorussians.
Are you saying Israelis nave historical memory?
Did he say it's just like the holocaust again?
That and many other things that got some hackles up in the Knesset.
As I told my friend after his parents told him that his sister was the favorite child
"if you ever feel neglected, or that your parent favor your brother, just remember will Smith has another son named will Smith jr
Nothing about the Ukraine war is good, however, Biden's response and shooting from the hip strategy is worse for everyone. If he doesn't talk us into a war with Russia, I'll be surprised. Don't underestimate Joe's ability to fuck things up. And He's been wrong on every single foreign policy decision for the last four decades. Trump wasn't my favorite, but fuck Biden makes Trump look like the second coming of Christ in comparison. Unfortunately, as it stands now, the next two alternative isn't any better (and quite possibly worse). And we still have just under three years of this bullshit. I would weep for our country but I'm convinced the worse is to come.
Ukraine update: Trump again boosts Putin, calling the war a 'great negotiation' that went wrong
Trump once again proved why he was the most brazenly incompetent, ignorant, and dull-minded person ever thrown into the Oval Office. To Donald Trump, deciding to murder tens of thousands for the sake of annexing a country is no different from any other botched business deal. Trump, who embodies narcissism down to every last clinical detail, still appears unable to grasp even the most catastrophic of world events in any capacity except as they relate to his own ambitions or goals.
There are a great many Americans who can listen to this weird, nonsensical rambling without getting the urge to shove screwdrivers in both ears, which says more about the current state of America than historians will ever be able to. The man is an incompetent, sociopathic ass.
https://m.dailykos.com/stories/2088654
lol yes that's the major issue right now. TRUMP'S incompetence.
It's funny Nardz has been accusing me all day of being pro-Biden, Marxist and globalist for condemning Putin's actions (while also condemning the west's actions and Ukraine's) and now dipshit LoS is accusing me of being pro-Trump and by extension Pro-Russian. Me, I'm over here like fuck all of them, war is wrong and it's my family that will pay, as fucking LoS is to much of a chicken shit to actually back up his jingoism by raising his right hand.
I wouldn’t worry about it.
People can take a single data point and extrapolate anything they want.
I’m also pro/anti Putin.
I'm not accusing you of being pro Biden, I'm pointing out that you're using the same talking points and that your perspective is faithful to the globalist narrative
Hardly, I condemned both the west and Russia. That's hardly the globalist talking points. I also don't consider war with Russia a good thing, nor even adversarial relations if we can avoid them. Again, hardly the globalist talking points. Pointing out Russia invaded Ukraine under suspect circumstances is just stating what happened. I'm sorry the truth doesn't fit your narrative. Putin chose this war, he wasn't forced into it.
That's your opinion, and coincidentally shared by the media/government leviathan.
Right down to specific phrasing you've used, like "Putin's war of choice"
Yet, most of the world agrees.
Except all the people in South America, Africa, the Middle East, India, and China who disagree.
Most of the world agreed with invading Iraq to topple a non-existent chemical, biological, and nuclear weapons program. Libertarians used to at least pretend to be antiwar.
Nardz, no offense, but how else do you describe what is happening? Ukraine did not invade Russia. Ukraine was in no position to eradicate Russia nor were there any apparent attempts to conquer the government.
Is Ukraine all unicorns and rainbows? No. A lot of stories from there don't make a lick of sense. But Russia invading them is not really a debate at this point, is it?
I can say Stalin was terrible and ALSO say "You know, Hitler probably should not have invaded the USSR" and not be pro-Stalin or pro-Hitler. Just somebody stating what happened.
I've explained the reasoning thoroughly over the last month, and it's a bit more complex than "bad man invaded".
NUANCE IS FER FAGGOTS! YOU'S EITHER WITH US OR YOU'S AGI'N US!
Who the fuck cares? Really? Who is president now? I don't give a fuck what Trump says or doesn't, I care about what our fucking commander in chief said when we are on the verge of war with another nuclear superpower (and they are a superpower when it comes to nuclear weapons, they have more than we do). Trump's actions aren't very likely to get my son, a Tanker in the Army killed, but Biden's sure as fuck are. Fuck you with a rusty chain saw.
You're hysterical. The Russians likely poisoned the people trying
to negotiatie a diplomatic resolution to this war so that should clue you in on who you're dealing with. They don't give a fuck about so "he must not be allowed" statement. They're over there in Ukraine burning down towns and making TIc Tock videos. They're laughing at your weakness. They're not going to kill themselves by launching nukes. And the US and EU don't actually care if Putin stays or goes. They want him out of Ukraine and that's good enough.
Man you must have rode the fucking short bus. Yeah, the Russians are the only ones who poisoned the negotiations, that's why they are having negotiations tomorrow and Biden is still relying on Russia to act as a middle man for us with Iran. You are just to uninformed to even try to debate this. Here I'll make it simple, fuck Trump, fuck Biden, fuck Putin. Now, take your fucking jingoism down to the armed forces recruiting station and put up or shut the fuck up. I've been there and done that, and my son is doing it right now, as is my nephew. And as did my Dad, his father, his uncle and my great grandfather, etc clear back to the fucking Revolution.
Could be a lot worse, if Hillary were commander in chief right now…I think she’s itching to use this as an opportunity to reboot her campaign
If that he must not be allowed statement gets us in a nuclear war who the fuck cares what Russia did? Will it matter as we all deal with devastated cities and nuclear winter?
Hunger will kill most people.
Fun!
But it would end global warming and overpopulation (that last one isn't really a thing).
Building all the wind and solar farms the Gretas want will also cause starvation by taking up crop land.
Except those people said those reports aren't true.
Bellingcat = NED = CIA
Hitler and Nixon, Uruguay, '56! See ? It all fits together!!!!!
Just out of curiosity is that an actual conspiracy theory or just tongue in cheek? I hadn't heard of it but seen you use it a few times and couldn't find anything about the reference so I am just curious.
It was a National Lampoon meme in a cartoon article (think Bagge) a long time back, poking fun at conspiracy buffoons, in that case specifically regarding the JFK assassination.
Always handy when someone tries to 'connect the dots' (think nardz).
Yeah he insists that referencing the Winter War isn't pertinent but that referencing the Crimean War and then only a shallow reference at that, is pertinent.
He states that condemning Biden and western actions while condemning Putin starting a war of choice is buying into the globalist talking points. He seems convinced you either have to support Putin or you are on the side of the globalist. It's rather myopic and fallacious thinking but what can you do. I just point out his fallacies and I'll let others decide.
I call him names, which, as an idiot trying to insult my intelligence, he deserves, sort of the way you respond to Tony and for the same reasons.
Don't piss on my shoe and claim it's raining, asshole!
I've admitted in the past and will again, you're much better at that than I am, I have a compulsion to actually try and debate people, no matter how fallacious or puerile their arguments are. I wish it I didn't. That's why I mute people after awhile, because it's nearly impossible for me not to address flawed arguments. Even if I agree with the poster most of the time and even if I agree with their general thrust, I can't remain quiet when I see an obvious mistake. I am working on it, but sometimes the best policy for me is to avoid it all together.
Don't be a warmongering Nazi and claim you're a libertarian, warmongering Nazi.
You have not condemned any action of Biden or western powers and parroting word-for-word copied and pasted snippets you get from pro-war yellow journalist news outlets that have been caught perpetrating hoaxes and lies about this war from the very first fucking week when they invented the Ghost of Kyiv and the Snake Island martyrs. If you won't want to be accused of being a mindless warmongering fascist piece of shit parroting USA Today, maybe try not being a mindless warmongering fascist piece of shit parroting USA Today.
BTW, the claims are that the '14 Ukraine elections results were totally a result of CIA activity and therefor Putin is justified in launching an invasion, which generated a bit of research, with this result:
"Foreign interference in Ukraine’s election"
[...]
"Ukraine conducted its presidential election in accordance with democratic standards, reflected in the assessments of credible international observers. It did so despite clear Russian interference in Ukraine’s election, though the interference was not extensive enough to affect the election’s outcome or the actual voting process.
While the interference did not live up to worst fears, numerous examples of it can be found in the kinetic, disinformation, and cyber realms over a period of months. Russia’s war with Ukraine and its occupation of parts of Ukraine’s territory constitute the most blatant interference, including the disenfranchisement of some 16 percent of the electorate living in Crimea and areas around Donetsk and Luhansk.
[...]
Heightened vigilance by Ukrainian authorities and civil society helped to reduce its potential impact. In contrast to 2014, when Russian cyberattacks compromised the Central Election Commission network, Ukrainian authorities were more prepared for possible attacks in 2019. As a result, during the first and second rounds of the presidential election—despite numerous minor cyber incidents—Ukraine did not suffer a major cyberattack..."
https://www.atlanticcouncil.org/in-depth-research-reports/report/foreign-interference-in-ukraine-s-election/
I hasten to point out that doubting CIA interference is beyond my capabilities, as is the claim that 'Putin's back was against the wall!' (Gear Whatever; the other Putin apologist).
Two powers attempting to influence a third-party election! Imagine my surprise! More surprised as it seems the CIA did better!
Yeah, I pointed out Russia has been interfering in Ukraine just like we have been. Of course that means I'm a globalist who can't accept our culpability. Or it's that I am a realist who understands this beyond shallow black and white thinking.
But what did the Council on Foreign Relations have to say? They are my next go-to source on the true happenings around the globe right after the Atlantic Council. Jenifer Rubin's columns are next on the list.
"...Or it's that I am a realist who understands this beyond shallow black and white thinking."
Pretty sure you do not 'like' Trump, and in 2016, I didn't either; the guy's a blowhard and a loose cannon. Living in CA my vote doesn't count, so the L candidate got it. At best, I hoped we got a SCOTUS justice far superior to what we'd have gotten from the hag.
And then he kept it up, and while to this day, it would be hard to tolerate the SOB in person, my reading says he's the best POTUS we've had in at least a century.
We still get those who, out of an adolescent focus on personality, or some idiotic claim of an inability to understand any sort of nuance, refuse to differentiate between Trump and Biden.
Pretty sure it was nardz to whom you replied that equating the governments of Russia and the US simply proves the lack of metal abilities of the claimant. Nothing nardz doesn't deserve; an adolescent emoter of the first order.
"But what did the Council on Foreign Relations have to say? They are my next go-to source on the true happenings around the globe right after the Atlantic Council..."
You could provide a cite.
I don't like Trump but wish he had won in 2020 not Biden, right now. I didn't vote for him, but he didn't need my vote in Montana. So Johnson got it, because it didn't matter. I wasn't thrilled with her either after her anti-racist tweet. I don't feel like I belong to any party anymore. The Democrats are bat shit crazy progressives bent on authoritarianism. The Republicans are weak willed pussies who don't actually fix what they're elected to. The Libertarians often lack pragmatism and are increasingly sounding like progressives on many issues. All the rest are basement dwelling neck beards.
"...The Republicans are weak willed pussies who don't actually fix what they're elected to..."
Are you thereby stating there is no difference? If so, I have to ask if you are serious.
I do product engineering; it wasn't long after getting involved with the subject that it became obvious that perfection was not among the available options; there is no concept/design/calc which has all values totaling 100%. None. Every one requires tradeoffs, which is why nardz, brandyshit, gearasshole are held in such contempt; these are not serious people.
They fall within the numbers of watermelons who reject nuclear power; they hope for unicorn farts to power the world and some fantasy libertarian POTUS to reclaim the US government.
AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN! (stuff it up your asses, Brandyshit and sarc)
Even if an L POTUS got elected, there is no support for the policies. Takes an outsider like Trump running under the R banner to do so.
Ken recently gave up dealing with those making such fatuous claims, and no blame on him.
If you have an alternative (real) suggestion, I'm all ears.
Not saying there is no difference. Rather saying the options aren't desirable. If the Republicans actually were serious about enacting their platform they are far better than the Democrats. As it is, they are better just because they at least slow down the Democrats, but not nearly as desirable as they would be if they actually worked on shrinking the government and the budget.
And I already said there isn't a better option. I'll probably vote Republican this fall, and again in 2024, but without any expectations that it is any better than building a hasty firebreak.
"Not saying there is no difference. Rather saying the options aren't desirable."
Try that again; one is not 'desirable' compared to the other?
You ain't nardz, sarc or brandyshit; gonna ask you to look at that again. We NEVER have the option of 'wonderful' and if one offers a 1% gain this year, grab it.
I run a business; if I can find any reliable 1% gain, it's in the pocket.
Yep, nothing to see! The United States arming and supporting literal fucking neo-Nazi groups in a foreign country because they didn't like that the democratically-elected government of Ukraine was making peaceful overtures toward Russia is just a silly conspiracy theory! I know because I read it from an avowedly pro-war globalist think tank that describes itself this way:
Let's see what some non-warmongers had to say about our color revolution 8 years ago when it actually happened rather than a pro-war globalist think tank desperately retconning history 5 years after the fact
Yeah, nothing says being a realist who has moved beyond black and white thinking like buying into every single hoax and lie from the propagandist warmongering yellow journalism rags, refusing to apologize or acknowledge you were wrong, and saying that anyone who refuses to unequivocally condemn Russia and unequivocally support Ukraine is evil. Not wrong. Evil.
Quite the hagiography you've written for yourself though. You ever wonder why nobody else has done so? Why the only friend you have left on this site is Sevo the wonderputz, a 75 year old man so demented and senile that he literally copies and pasts the same schoolyard insults with no connection at all to the content or context of posts based on the name he sees above the post?
Yeah, let's play chicken by getting into a war with Russia, let's see how that turns out. Putin started this war, supposedly, because Biden and the west wanted Ukraine to join NATO, do you think calling for regime change by the President of that largest member, and military, in NATO won't make him a little paranoid? Especially after we took down Hussein and Gaddafi and tried to take down the Syrian Regime, and been trying for four decades to take down Iran's regime, and fifty years been trying to take down Castro's and North Korea?
I'm not willing to take that bet. And I don't think most Americans, and by the reaction of our European allies, neither are our European Allies.
And even if you're right what happens if Putin doesn't get out of Ukraine? It's rather pollyannaish to believe that Ukraine will win. They are losing slowly. Russia is just to big for them to resist. Between refugees and casualties, Ukraine has already lost a tenth of it's population, Russia has lost far less.
In a war of attrition, which this has become, the side with the larger population always wins.
Not always. "Optional" wars involve (at least in the west) dedication of the voters.
The Vietnamese won with far less population, the Japanese bet the US population would 'get tired': They lost.
Okay, I'll stand corrected. Most often. Vietnam and Afghanistan, both our involvement and the Soviets (and the British in the 19th century if we want to split hairs) were counter insurgency operations. I was thinking more conventional warfare. Once it enters a period of occupation and counter insurgency, all bets go out the windows. Russia will most likely win the initial phase, but if they plan on occupying Ukraine, that is more difficult.
"...I was thinking more conventional warfare..."
Pretty sure it's really hard to define that now; again, I maintain that Nagasaki ended what the world formally saw as "conventional warfare".
I draw the distinction between Desert Storm, a conventional war that had a stated goal, Iraq out of Kuwait and Iraqi Freedom that had an ambiguous goal of replacing Hussein with something better. We won the conventional part of Iraqi Freedom but lost the occupation/COIN part, the same in Afghanistan.
If you mean conventional warfare between advanced near peer states, yeah Hiroshima and Soviets getting the bomb in 1946 pretty much did away with that for the foreseeable future (I wouldn't be surprised if some point in the future one side or both have the technology to intercept nukes to a degree that nukes are not a real threat, because there is always the constant balance between offensive and defensive weapons development).
"I draw the distinction between Desert Storm, a conventional war that had a stated goal, Iraq out of Kuwait and Iraqi Freedom that had an ambiguous goal of replacing Hussein with something better.
Point taken, but Hussein had no access to nukes.
As mentioned in a thread yesterday; my point is that Nagasaki ended "conventional warfare" if the combatants had access to nukes.
Shy of nukes, we are involved in 'post nuke' warfare. Not sure where or how it goes, but the term "conventional warfare" is probably obsolete.
We are now learning how ground warfare is conducted.
I'm thinking directed energy weapons will be the next evolution in anti-missile, anti-rocket anti-aircraft and anti-drone defense. The Navy is designing the next class of DDG, the DDG(x) with the idea of adding in directed energy weapons for just these purposes (they're also adding in the capability of hypersonic missiles, even though we haven't yet fielded any, but they're working on it). Paired with AI or partial AI, directed energy weapons completely changes all current anti-aircraft technology. We've been working on it to some degree since Reagan.
Based on your extensive experience polishing bumpers on MRAPs 50 miles away from the action during your vacation in the sandbox, you chickenhawk cowardly faggot?
Lol. You were literally calling for a no fly zone and an American military presence in Ukraine less than a week ago you lying jingoistic warmongering faggot. Jesus Christ, do you think those posts disappear, or were you hoping your buttbuddy Sevo would just conveniently forget them for you? If only you were as ballsy when you were a REMF enabled of child murderers because you were too much a cowardly faggot to even fight.
And I don't care if they are laughing at "my weakness" because it beats a world war. If they attack us, that's one thing, but they haven't so I don't care what they think of me. As for weakness, have you joined up yet? I have a DD214, and a son in the Army. I went back in after 9/11 and volunteered for combat, so put up or shut up.
BTW, FDRs experts also stated Japan wasn't stupid enough to attack the US in retaliation for the sanctions we placed on them in 1940. How did that work out?
I'll try to locate the book and page numbers: FDR (as always) fudged the direction to his administration. What was intended as a delay in deliveries of petroleum turned into a blanket denial. Those in his admin knew he was not the sharpest knife in the drawer and further knew they could 'interpret' his 'instructions' with impunity. Outside of being an econ-ignoramus and a tin-pot-dictator wannabe, he was a horrible administrator.
But that in no way excuses the Japanese (analogous to Putin); the option was always available to avoid war; stop acting like an asshole.
This is a mystery to nardz.
Yeah, FDR was either purposely opaque in his directions and or criminally inept. He also changed his tune depending on who he was talking too. I've never quite figured out why so many people admire him. He didn't end the depression, and his contribution to winning the war were not as impressive as many believe. If the Truman commission hadn't been formed (over his objections) the war build up would have been much less successful. It was a mess the way FDR set it up, with millions being wasted and nothing really getting done and stuff that did get done was mostly useless (similar to our current research and development and military acquisition programs). It was only after the Truman commission started holding people's feet to the fire that it straightened out enough to improve our readiness.
He had 'fire side chats', and most of the US took that as (like Walter Cronkite) to be 'comforting'. He, like Hitler, was a master manipulator and had access to both radio and adoring news organizations (see Obo) to hide the results of his 'decisions'.
And the media that didn't support him he attacked and wasn't above using surrogates to pressure. So, yes, like Obo.
By surrogates, I mean he even would use the FBI to go after them.
The US and EU should not have a position at all on if Putin stays or goes. It is a Russian issue exclusively.
But saying "Putin has to leave power (no matter how much Biden tries to walk that back)" poisons negotiations beyond repair.
Lol. Yep. The Rooskies dun it.
Now let's talk about Volodymyr Struk, Nestor Shufrych and Yan Taksyur. Let me guess, the Rooskies false-flagged all of those as well, right? And also false-flagged suspending elections and outlawing 11 opposition political parties, right? Ukraine is all goodness and light and democracy and freedom, so suspending civil rights, murdering and kidnapping political opposition, and conscripting 60 year old men couldn't possibly have actually happened!

Tell us "Don't take me seriously" without typing "don't take me seriously"
sodlier, Biden told Obama to not surge in Afghanistan in 2010 and start withdrawing.
Before the Ukrainian invasion and upon taking office he began rebuilding our alliances with NATO, the EU, and other democracies across the world. This set the stage for the united response he led to Putin's threatened invasion, by sharing intel and strategy as he organized sanctions, and finally against the invasion as it occurred. Yes, Putin brought on much of the reaction upon himself, but it didn't happen in a vacuum and Trump left NATO and our alliances with the EU and other democracies in the worst shape since they came into existence. According to Bolton and others, he planned to withdraw from NATO if reelected, and acted that way. If you think somebody else would have done a better job than Biden in setting this stage and managing, I'd like to hear who. Your judgement is in serious question.
Bolton was miles away from Trump when the re-election was occurring. And demanding members of a treaty HONOR THEIR FUCKING COMMITMENT is not a bad thing. Europe's lovely social safety net is paid for by US. WE pay for the fucking thing by supplying their damned defense.

"Senior administration officials told The New York Times that several times over the course of 2018, Mr. Trump privately said he wanted to withdraw from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. Current and former officials who support the alliance said they feared Mr. Trump could return to his threat as allied military spending continued to lag behind the goals the president had set....
At the time, Mr. Trump’s national security team, including Jim Mattis, then the defense secretary, and John R. Bolton, the national security adviser, scrambled to keep American strategy on track without mention of a withdrawal that would drastically reduce Washington’s influence in Europe and could embolden Russia for decades.
Now, the president’s repeatedly stated desire to withdraw from NATO is raising new worries among national security officials amid growing concern about Mr. Trump’s efforts to keep his meetings with Mr. Putin secret from even his own aides,.."

ROFL. Worked great. Putin is shivering in his boots and surely will never consider invading Ukraine now.
Jesus fuck but you're a dumb motherfucker, sarcasmic.
Biden should have smacked Poland's president in the face?
How many Bidens does it take to smack a polish leader?
An infinite amount, because all they do is grab a rag, spit on the guy, then rub him down
Ok, but what if he is a pollack?
Hunter's got that covered.
Weekly listener question: "Do you think the U.S. has moved from a society of 'tolerance' to one of 'forced acceptance'? And based on your answer, do you think that's a positive or a negative? It seems to me that major 'culture war' issues bubble up when they are forced upon adults or involve children. For instance: No one really cared about drag queens until drag queen story hours. No one really cared about the trans movement until the bathroom bills and sports issues. Many more examples could be named, I'm sure."
All right. Which one of you Trumptards slipped that past the Reason gatekeepers?
Full disclosure: I don't actually listen to this blather.
Is one truly good if they were forced to be good? Is the Spanish Inquisition model of morality really what we want? Compel people towards goodness, and kill those who won't comply?
Paarthurnax asked that question. I see a lot of comments in game forums that they can't quite figure out the answer for themselves.
I wish it had been me.
Aha! Self-identified Trumptard! Get him!
I'm Trump-fluid
Bi-Trumpian or Trans-Trumpian?
Trump queer? Atrumpian? Pan Trump?
Pan-Trumpual...though this Pan wouldn't claim him, let me tell you. 🙂
Biden did not mess up at all. He said what needed to be said, that Putin needs to go.
When are you deploying?
Lol.
So does Biden. So, just even-steven on this, right?
Bring on the nuclear war, baby! It’s go time!
If it saves just one life, I’m for nuclear wat
"Putin needs to go."
Indeed. I've been saying this since 2016.

Go get him.
Regime change has always been a great policy that never led to poor results. Ever.
Hey shreek, remember the time when you were posting using your Sarah Palin's Buttplug sock and you posted dark web links to hardcore child pornography, and your account got banned and the entire article and comments section had to be deleted?
What's hilarious is that if the Reason editors weren't all child fuckers or child fucker apologists like Sullum, they could have turned you in to the FBI for that. They collect IP addresses in addition to your sign up emails. You got real, real lucky there.
"Reason editors' thoughts on Ketanji Brown Jackson"
KBJ demonstrates admirable commitment to the Koch / Reason soft-on-crime #EmptyThePrisons agenda. I'm sure Reason staffers love her. 🙂

But what do they think of her, though?
Thinking is not their strong suit

Quick hits: Journalist does study of bicycle masking in Palo Alto: 46% wore a mask while bicycling, 17% wore helmets.
Something that I'm seeing a lot of that's noted in the podcast: Wearing the KN95 mask under the nose.
Also some great criticisms of EPIC, the 'best of class' EHR system that I've watched being implemented.
I interviewed there when I finished college. If they had offered me half a million bucks a year with 30 hour weeks and free use of the secretaries I would have still run for the hills.
"...Quick hits: Journalist does study of bicycle masking in Palo Alto: 46% wore a mask while bicycling, 17% wore helmets..."
News interview with a cop some years back: He tags a biker for running a redlight (almost getting turned in to a sail-biker) and then asks why the biker is wearing a helmet:
'For safety'.
In the grand scheme of things Will Smith is of little importance compared to Biden's stupidity. Why would Russia want to negotiate and by Russia I mean Putin, after the shit Biden said this past week? And it's not like the US and the West, hasn't tried regime change multiple times over the past century. Biden is stupid and or he wants to continue this war as a distraction to his failures and for something to blame his failures on. Unfortunately for him, the American people aren't buying it. As long as Putin doesn't respond by attacking NATO or by using nukes or chemical weapons, the American people are satisfied to cheer on Ukraine while not wanting to get involved. Even support for a NFZ goes way down once you explain what that would entail and the possible outcomes from it.
Just as an aside, at the same time Biden is beating the war drums, he proposed cutting production of the F-35 (like his mentor cut the F-22) just as prices are about to drop and we're facing real world uncertainty. The F-35 is finally meeting most expectations and he wants to cut production while also talking us into a war?
Yes Beau served in Iraq, as a JAG officer. Yes, he received the Bronze Star, but a friend of mine did to and he'll tell you it was bullshit, they (the higher command) were giving those out like candy. The Bronze Star used to mean something, now most veterans I know and served with consider it a participation award because of how little it took to win one in Iraq and Afghanistan, especially among command and staff officers. A number of staff officers received Bronze Stars when they didn't even participate in actual combat, and the Pentagon hasn't released the reasons for Beau's bronze star. It seems suspicious that a JAG officer was awarded the bronze star, however, the bronze star is awarded for bravery, even away from the battlefield. So it is possible that Beau received his for not actions completely uncombat related. So, don't give me the whole his son served in combat, and so he understands the sacrifice. His son was a POG, like a lot of soldiers, and nothing wrong with that, but he wasn't a door kicker either. He did his job, and appears to have done it adequately but his was a fairly safe assignment all the same. Unlike my son, who is a tanker, or my nephew who is transportation (transportation have one of the highest casualty rates and lowest combat survival ratings of all the MOS in the Army, just beat out by a few combat arms MOS).
Why would Russia want to negotiate and by Russia I mean Putin, after the shit Biden said this past week?
They should at least try, and the Katyn Forest is close by.
But look at the next two successors to Biden, are they any better?

People more outraged over Will Smith slapping Chris Rock than Hunter Biden's corruption in Ukraine.
"the bronze star is awarded for bravery,"
Serious question for Medic: Is there some other award that is called or looks like a bronze star? Why I ask is that just about 100% of the WWII vet obits I see in the newspaper say "he was awarded a bronze star" I know they gave out all sorts of "victory in Europe" ribbons and stuff like that to those who served overseas, but it seems every WWII veteran's family claims "he won a bronze star."
The Bronze star calls for heroism during a period of hostility but doesn't require actual heroics under fire (that's the silver star) so it is possible to be awarded a bronze star without seeing actual combat. The Bronze star was created in 1944, and it's not unusual to have a high number of awards given out when a medal is first created. The same thing occurred when the Medal of Honor was created during the Civil War. One Quartermaster unit, every member, was given a MOH for supplying shoes to a regiment. Most historians draw a distinction between those awarded the MOH during the Civil War and those awarded it after the war. It wouldn't surprise me if the bronze star was given out rather loosely during the second world war. I was thinking more about in Korea and Vietnam when the criteria was a little stricter.
"In the grand scheme of things Will Smith is of little importance compared to Biden's stupidity..."
This.
The idiocy of one can have serious effects on me; that of the other generates clicks for gossip peddlers.
Explains why Reason wrote three article about Smith vs Rock.
soldier falls back on questioning military medals awarded to those who he disagrees with politically. The GOP - supposed defenders of all things military - perfects this movement which translates to all medals should not be taken seriously until further study, so put them in your drawer and STFU. At least until people like soldier have a chance to tear down your military record.
His judgement on the Ukrainian crisis is as lame as it gets, as Biden has done everything possible - and beginning when he 1st took office - to organize resistance to Putin WITHOUT getting us into WWIII.
It is almost cute that you believe that.
Trump had us nowhere near having a major military conflict.
Biden, as usual, is blindly marching us into one.
As Gates said, Biden has been wrong on every single foreign policy question in his entire government career.
So then damik, you agreed with the Afghanistan surge in 2010 and Trump's plan to abandon NATO and destroy the EU. No wonder Putin wanted him to be president, because those are his goals.
Will Smith may have "messed up".
Biden fucked up royally beyond repair.
There's a difference.
Hey, it’s tit for tat. Slap someone’s face and YOU get a slap in YOUR face—by being compared to Pudding Head Brandon!
Is Will Smith a Republican or something? Why try to both-sides this?
Comparing Biden to Will Smith is a clear case of racism on Reason’s part! Oh, I mean it! It’s Bill Cosby who does pudding, NOT Will Smith! But hey, I guess all black comics look alike to Reason!
Are Reason editors more enchanted with the racism, the pedophilia enabling or the general post modernist assault on Western society that KBJ embodies? From the articles they have a real hardon for the pedophilia angle.

Defund the military, increase funding to "non-violent" regime change warriors like NED, CIA, azov battalion, trans coders, antifa supersoldiers. Same as defund local police, increase funding for everpresent + all knowing surveillance state inc biomedical technology, big data etc.
Plausible deniability. That's what they want. All watched over by machines of loving grace.

Fucking ridiculous that it's 2022 and it's still a shocking and controversial position to say your government and media are lying to you about a fucking war.
You know you're living under an empire with the most sophisticated propaganda machine that's ever existed when it can lie about literally every war it's ever been involved in and then when you say they're lying about the latest war people still act like you're a paranoid lunatic.

"Ukraine Offers Potential Concessions; U.S. Remains Skeptical of Moscow
In the first apparent sign of progress at talks in Turkey, Moscow promised to reduce the intensity of its military activity near Kyiv and to its north.
President Biden reacted cautiously. Russia said it was ready to have Presidents Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky meet...."

Yeah, Biden is really fucking up.
You can't possibly be this stupid.
Yeah Will messed up--when he married a raging wh*re. He b&tch-slapped the wrong person.
