Debate Dems Wage Intergenerational Warfare and We Are Here for It
In a special xennial/millennial edition of the podcast, Reason editors take apart the first two nights of Democratic Party debate.

In a post-debate quickie podcast, Reason's resident millennial/xennials Peter Suderman, Stephanie Slade, and Katherine Mangu-Ward slice and dice the two nights of Democratic Debates. We discuss the surprisingly fast escalation of the health care debate and Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard's shining anti-interventionist moment. And since Matt Welch and Nick Gillespie weren't on the podcast, we join tonight's Democratic hopefuls in fomenting a little intergenerational warfare. We also pick winners and losers. (Hint: Suderman and Slade think Kamala Harris won, but she's still a cop.)

Xennial?
Just... no.
36 people were burned to death or died jumping in the Hindenburg disaster in 1937.
The president of the United States just celebrated it in a tweet. Trying to mock his political rival.
Nice.
Trump is the 1st truly postmodern president. I used to think that it was Bill Clinton, but Slick Willie's commitment to literary criticism ("that depends on what the meaning of 'is' is") was just an occupational disease for lawyer Clinton -- while Trump is fully embracing the smoke-&-mirror nature of Twitter shit-slinging.
That was a good debate. Those candidates have some great ideas. I'd be happy with any of them to replace Trump.
Well said. Open borders, reparations for slavery — I really like where the Democratic Party is going.
I'll proudly vote for any 2020 Democrat except Tulsi Gabbard.
I'm pressing X on this one.
EVERYTHING IS SO TERRIBLE AND UNFAIR!!!!!
Haha. That’s all they got.
Oh, and they really should learn the difference between a right and a benefit.
Those candidates have some great ideas.
You misspelled "terrifying".
Kamala Harris definitely "won" the debate last night -- good for her, while not so much for Sloppy Joe and Crazy Bernie.
Truth be told, I'm not too eager on having a President sitting behind the Resolute Desk in the White House who only excels in "winning" debates from behind a podium on a stage, while formulating policy positions that are for shit.
I thought it was Joe who is crazy and Bernie who is sloppy.
I think Slade has solidified herself as my favorite Reason contributor. Especially since they jumped Heaton out of the gang.
Democrats want to provide government funded healthcare to illegal aliens. So expect everyone around the world who needs expensive medical care, to come to the US for the free health care. After treatment, expect most of them to return home where their homes are. They'll be looking at it as a medical treatment vacation.
