LYRICS:
Spent four to eight years complaining about all the cash we spend
Asking for your vote and money, we need limited government
About how these deficits are costing us a trillion a pop
But vote for me, I'll be as stingy as a GameStop
And then I got elected and took over DC
Cutting back on all spending is what I would do you'd think
But I like it, I love it, I want some more of it
A wall so tall you can't climb above it
Don't know what it is about the spending that I covet
but I like it, I love it, I want some more of it
The Founding Father Daddies tried to teach me currency
Now my spending list is longer than a CVS receipt
Now I'm keeping old programs and taking out loans
I'm scrapping spending caps and I'm cranking out drones
I'm adding more spending, I'm throwing a parade
My list is shovel-ready (so is most of what I say)
Cuz I like it, I love it, I want some more of it
I talk a lot, it turns out I'm bluffing
Don't know what it is about the spending that I covet
but I like it, I love it, I want some more of it

Feels like I haven't seen Heaton or Remy for awhile. Reason better not be hiding them away.
What I am craving most is more of Sarah's condescending smirks.
Are you one of those guys who likes videos of women pretending they're laughing at your penis?
I know it may be a tired trope, but I really feel like this satire didn't contain enough belt buckle.
Is this based on an actual country song? I'm out of touch.
I think it's Big and Rich.
I'm impressed, you are VERY out of touch.

There is a surprisingly deep divide in this nation between Country music and almost all other music. I find it very interesting myself, even though I fall on the not-Country side.
I don't think it's only or even primarily Country. How many people know who Vivaldi is, or know any current punk rockers?
How many people can identify Iraq on a map, even with the country names on?
But I do believe that Country is the best selling genre of music in the US now. The impressive thing is how big it is, how popular it is, and how divided it is.
Look, I like *depressing* country songs. The upbeat, optimistic stuff leaves me cold.
Here you go.
And now for something more cheerful.
Dear Reason Editors - please get out of bed with Facebook. Took a while to figure out why there was no video as I block all scripts from Facebook domains. Why are you encouraging Facebook to track Reason readers?
Preach it brother! I loves me some Remy, but I hates me more FaceBook.
Found it by following the Subscribe to Reason TV link above.
I was expecting a link to Youtube, like this:

Great song. If you are on Facebook, you are already encouraging everyone in the world to track you.
Brilliant!
Lol.
He plays the part of a politician well.
I thought Remy would be different, but now he's just like all the rest. I have to make sure he's reelected though because we can't let the other side win, and there are only two choices. If we just elect more Remy's and less of the others, then we'll finally be in a position to get something done, I think!
Worst lip sync ever.
