Chuck Schumer Is Protecting the Nation From Snortable Chocolate [Reason Podcast]
Reason editors discuss Trump's Warsaw speech, the Putin meeting, Mike Pence's Mars shot, and more.

"NASA sucks," says Reason's Katherine Mangu-Ward, on Mike Pence's call to put American boots on Mars and the Moon. The agency is too risk-averse to do anything but incremental advances, and that makes a trip to Mars a distant pipe dream.
Mangu-Ward joins fellow editors Nick Gillespie and Peter Suderman to discuss Mike Pence's astral aspirations, President Trump's push for leaders at the G20 Conference to defend the West from annihilation (pitting his nationalist vision against the globalist ambitions of France and Germany), and Chuck Schumer's quest to protect the nation from the evils of snortable chocolate.

You know what happened the last time Germany had global ambitions?
For those who would snort dark chocolate I say, "Let them die!"
But let's be honest. Like back in his Harvard days Schumer never let anyone snort a line of chocolate off his tits.
Typical democrat; start by regulating powdered chocolate, then go after the solid and liquid forms "to be fair".
Really? He wants to run for re-election with a documented policy opposing chocolate?
Far out.
But he's leaving the practice of rectally imbibing hot chocolate alone, right? Asking for a friend.
Has somebody explained to Chuckie the difference between cocoa powder and coca powder or does he just think coca powder is white chocolate?
This just doesn't pass the sniff test.
"I didn't enjoy life; I don't want you to either." - Chuck
Just when a guy thinks Trump has douchebag of the year in the bag......

I think everyone got a chuckle out of Schumer's complaint about snortable chocolate...After all, with everything else that's going on in out abysmally flawed Trump administration, WTF Schumer? Right?
Well..As it turns out, there are issues with it. Ask any doctor whether anyone should snort any foreign powder up your nose, and they'll tell you no! It can lead to sinus infections and possible bacterial intrusions. (If you have never had a bad sinus infection, you'd understand... I did. To drain an impacted sinus, you sit in what seems like a dental chair, and the doctor takes a large needle with a screw end on the outside, places it up inside you nose, takes a block of wood, and rams it through the thin bone into you sinus. Then he screws a rubber hose onto the needle and forces saline solution into your sinuses, causing blood and snot to flow out of your mouth into a bowl... Definitely not as much fun as people make it out to be!'
Then there are the additives, such as Ginko and some of the same uppers they put in energy drinks like Monster or Red Bull. Are these really the substances you want being absorbed into your system with no dosage control?
And lastly, who would this really appeal to? A 30 year old smoker? Nope! 23 year old beer drinker? Nope! .... Preteens.. Yup!
All in all, yes it's funny, but only until someone gets hurt.
