"Ninety percent of the time I spent running for president ended up to be wasted time," says former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson of his 2012 run for the presidency as the Libertarian Party candidate.

Johnson sat down with Reason magazine's Matt Welch at the Libertarian National Convention in Orlando, Florida to discuss what he plans on doing differently in 2016 and what he plans to do to win the hearts and minds of Libertarian Party members inclined to nominate one of his opponents this weekend. The final delegate vote for the nomination happens on Sunday, May 29.

Johnson is the best choice -- IMO -- because, for once, no matter how hard the media tries, no matter what those shitheads say, the Libertarian Party cannot be called "crazy," especially when compared to the parties of Clinton and Trump.

Honestly? Out of the three main choices (Johnson, Petersen, McAfee), I think Petersen is the weakest. He's the most likely to get outright ignored by the media. He's way too young, has virtually no experience, and he's trying to hard to placate the SoCon anti-Trumpers like Beck, Erickson, Matalin, etc.

Johnson seems wise enough to guilt the typical "swing voter" into asking themselves: "Am I really going to vote for turds like Trump or Clinton?"
