With the Republican nomination race seemingly narrowing to three viable candidates, the top Elephants met in Texas for the last debate before 11 states vote on Super Tuesday. With a quarter of the total delegates needed to win the nomination up for grabs and Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz up against Donald Trump's wall, the candidates came ready to fight for their political lives.

The stage was set for an epic rhetorical bloodbath. Could the Cruz missile sink the unsinkable Trumptanic? Or was the GOP establishment able to Marco its territory? Watch the video above to find out.

Thursday night is bowling night so I didn't get a chance to see it. I tried to listen to it on one of the 67 channels that broadcast right-wingers on it, but in listening to it there was a lot of guttural noises, screaming, and a crowd that seemed like it was at the Thunderdome. So, I don't know... Maybe technical difficulties or something. Did Cruz and Rubio talk about how they want Constitutional limited government and how we need to get government off the backs of oil companies? Just wondering if they checked those boxes.

Lefties love to hate them some oil companies while benefitting from all of the materials, chemicals, and processes--to say nothing of the dense energy--made possible by oil. It's similar to the way that lefties swoon over the bucolic agrarian lifestyle that they imagine existing before the big, bad industrial revolution, all the while enjoying the enormous, previously unimaginable benefits of it. Your dishonesty and hypocrisy show all the more disgustingly when you hate on the very people and corporations that make your life orders of magnitude better than it was for you ancestors.

Please. The whole affair was an embarrassment from start to finish. There were no best moments. Constant interruptions, the 3 leading candidates all talking at the same time and over one another, desperation from the wannabes, flying accusations of lying and stealing. And zero discussion of policy from the leaders.

Libertarians should be gloating. But that's right, it's your party of choice. At least be embarrassed.

I agree that the whole affair should be embarrassing for anyone who identifies with the Republican party. But what's the alternative in our two party system?

The Democrats don't have debates anymore. They have infomercials. The MC asks them leading questions and they roll out their talking points.

I gave up and turned off the debate about halfway through. The problem was Trump. He picks a fight with most everyone to deflect from his lack of self esteem. Trump is a bully and makes having a political debate almost impossible with his bullying and his interruptions--or I repeat myself.

The problem, then, is not necessarily the Republicans or the other candidates--it is Trump.

I just had never seen anything like that. Sure, occasional outbursts in other debates. But that was beyond the pale.

I said this before... Trump and the way this is unfolding started decades ago in right wing media. Shouting, wild accusations, demonization, and showmanship. Someone was bound to channel that anger, they just didn't think some of it would get channeled back at them.

Last night was like watching three candidates running for President all trying to out-Mark Levin each other.

I have a better idea: How about if they just kick their assess out of the building, do the same with thing with the two remaining dumbocrat candidates, and then go out on the street and recruit AT RANDOM a handful of ordinary citizens, assign them to one of these two putrefied parties, and have them be the candidates?
