Sen. John McCain: 'States Should Decide' Pot Legalization
Arizona senator does not believe legalizing marijuana is a good idea.
Today outside the Values Voters Summit in Washington, D.C., Reason TV caught up with Sen. John McCain (R-Az.) and asked him his thoughts on marijuana legalization.
Nick Gillespie: "Is pot legalization a good idea?"
Sen. John McCain: "I don't think so. I'd leave it up to the people but I think it's a gateway drug and I'm not going to change that opinion."
Nick Gillespie: "Should it be decided at the state level or at the federal level?"
Sen John McCain: "I believe the state level. I've always believed the states should decide."
