What We Saw at the Students For Liberty Conference 2015
Millennials tell us why they're libertarians.
The eighth annual International Students For Liberty Conference pulled more than a thousand excited students to Washington, D.C. last weekend to learn activism from student leaders, network with liberty-minded organizations, and hear from libertarian heavyweights such as Ron Paul, Judge Napolitano, and even former Mexican President Vicente Fox.
Reason TV interviewed attendees about why they came to the conference, what they found most interesting, and what drew them to libertarianism.
About 2.45 minutes long.

White people?
African Students For Liberty?
Sweet.
Shush, Paul. I want to hear what the Millennials have to say.
Too many likes in the first guy's speech, and then TOO MANY FOREIGNERS GO HOME FOREIGNERS LIBERTY IS FOR AMERICANS.
The one dude claims that "young people are more libertarian now than ever." PROVE IT.
We're down with Uber, dude!
I hear they're making great exclusivity deals with various municipalities. Let freedumb ring!
Just check out Bill Maher's latest demographics!
How about I just watch another episode of Vice where they play ominous music over iceberg calving.
I'll be watching Veep.
Fortunately, I believe that is a more representative choice for my demographic than Girls.
See, Mr. Swain? That wasn't so hard, was it now?
Looks like there were a few female libertarians present. An SFL conference I attended some five years ago had a number of really cute women with brains. Maybe things aren't so bleak for the sausage festers after all.
nice to see such a broad range of peoples interested in libertarianism. On a side note the music was awful did a child compose and play it on a toy? it would have been better without it.
So were abortion, the drug war, military spending, the right to kill yourself, and LGBT issues front and center or was there some other agenda that was being pushed?
Is that all they're allowed to talk about? That "LGBT" should be a central issue of political philosophy is an absurdity of the left. But they also heavily pushed the agendas of economic freedom, ending the income tax, the entirely predictable failures, distortions, and injustices of central planning, rejection of the welfare state, etc.
Sweet 🙂
