Judge Andrew Napolitano: America is becoming a Surveillance State
"Jefferson and Madison and William O. Douglas and everybody that took a stand for human liberty would be turning in their graves," roars Judge Andrew Napolitano about President Obama's decision to use drones on American citizens.
The syndicated columnist, Fox News senior judicial analyst, and outspoken libertarian sat down with Reason TV's Nick Gillespie to discuss his new book, Suicide Pact:The Radical Expansion of Presidential Powers and the Assault on Civil Liberties.
Napolitano discusses how presidents from George Washington to Abraham Lincoln to Woodrow Wilson to George W. Bush to Barack Obama have used war and domestics threats to massively increase the reach of the state. He also talks about the popularity of Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), who wrote the foreword to Suicide Pact, how his law students are increasingly skeptical of government invasion of privacy, and why he thinks his friend and TV sparring partner Jon Stewart is a actually a libertarian who just doesn't know it yet.

At this point, they're up to 50 RPM.
America is already a police State:

For protecting them, by a mock Trial from punishment for any Murders which they should commit on the Inhabitants of these States:
They Burn Babies Don't They?

And Putin is Becoming a fascist thug.
It's a surveillance state because almost everyone in this country wants it that way. It's just that most are going to be surprised when they find out they aren't in the inner party.
What makes you think that most people even care about that?
The mottos of this country have become:
Better safe than sorry.
And You've got nothin to worry about if you've done nothin wrong.
When they see video of the cops beating the shit out of someone they think he must have done something to deserve it.
When they get groped by the TSA they tell themselves It's worth it if it prevents one plane from getting blown up.
TLDW. Does he mention how he feels about his grandchildren's Elf on the Shelf?
Did the judge actually A, or was it more of a Q&Q?
The Judge's interviews and speeches are very different from his articles. He'll ask a question just so he can answer it.
Unfortunately, it does so appear.

So stay away, for goodness sake.
NSA is coming to town.
I need to work on this...
ot,the two NYPD patrol men killed was horrible, but,no worse then any other murder.Take the 6 people killed by a crazy man in Penn.this week.People protesting police abuse and the mayor are not to blame for their deaths.I am tired of the 'hero worship' on FOX,the police unions backing of bad cops, being against criminal cops is not a bad thing.
The first news story I saw online about this, at the New York Post, refers to them as 'the fallen heroes '. I am sick to fucking death of this shit. Being a cop is a damn job just like every other job. It doesn't magically bestow hero status on everyone that puts on a damn uniform. That is a big part of the reason why cops are so out of control.
no,they may have been nice guy's,but, they were not Beowulf.
Some police officers are heroes, just like how some people are heroes. Being a PO doesn't automatically make you a hero; it's what you do as a police officer that (could) make you a hero.
Anyways, I'm waiting with baited breath for the policy union chief to blame DeBlasio for the deaths because he had the gall to not call Garner's killer a hero.
*police union
It's sort of surprising that the recent discovery of a major flaw in cellular networks by private security researchers doesn't have people more up in arms or scared.
Every single phone call or text message in the world sent over pretty much any system is susceptible to being swept through countless vectors. It's such a huge and powerful flaw, the security researchers believed our spy agencies have known and exploited it for decades.
