That was pretty good.
That was really trippy.
Boing Boing is a great site and Mark Fraunfelder, the editor-in-chief of Make magazine, is a huge part of that. His new book sounds pretty interesting. Snippet from Amazon:
From his unique vantage point as editor-in-chief of Make magazine, the hub of the newly invigorated do-it-yourself movement, Mark Frauenfelder takes readers on an inspiring and surprising tour of the vibrant world of DIY. The Internet has brought together large communities of people who share ideas, tips, and blueprints for making everything from unmanned aerial vehicles to pedal- powered iPhone chargers to an automatic cat feeder jury-rigged from a VCR.
DIY is a direct reflection of our basic human desire to invent and improve, long suppressed by the availability of cheap, mass-produced products that have drowned us in bland convenience and cultivated our most wasteful habits. Frauenfelder spent a year trying a variety of offbeat projects such as keeping chickens and bees, tricking out his espresso machine, whittling wooden spoons, making guitars out of cigar boxes, and doing citizen science with his daughters in the garage. His whole family found that DIY helped them take control of their lives, offering a path that was simple, direct, and clear. Working with their hands and minds helped them feel more engaged with the world around them.
If only.
I await other videos with similar memorable dialogue:
"What a cute pooch! Good Boy! Uh, sir, he's a little jumpy - would you mind keeping him on leash or in another room so we can talk?"
"I'm on Fifth and Main with a guy acting all loopy. Would you guys mind sending out an ambulance? I'm worried he may be diabetic or something, we should help him out."
"*ring, ring* - Hello sir, this is the police officer standing on your porch. We tried knocking but you might not have heard us, so we thought we'd try your cell phone. We have a warrant, and we need you to please open the door."
You're right. I don't believe it. Wish I could.
That was awesome!
The real pain of it all is that this type of interaction has to be used as a comment on what we all know are the real interactions with Teh Authoritay when, in fact, this should be the norm.
That should be a training video.
It's sad that a cop who treats the constitution and an average citizen with respect is too obviously absurd to be anything but an April Fool's joke.

Well, the intestines are about 28 feet long so it should be no time before they get stomach acid burns. Glad I'm not bulimic. They can go that far because any other parasites in the intestine offers them professional courtesy.
Start working at home with Google! It's by-far the best job I've had. Last Wednesday I got a brand new BMW since getting a check for $6474 this - 4 weeks past. I began this 8-months ago and immediately was bringing home at least $77 per hour. I work through this link, go to tech tab for work detail
