What's Wrong with American Politics? "Of By For" Director Christopher Kay
Why are Americans so frustrated with democracy? That is the question Christopher Kay traveled around the country to ask.
Kay is the filmmaker behind a new documentary, Of By For, about the disconnect of modern American politics. "This republic won't last very long," says Kay, "if we continue with more, and more, and more, and more money and power going into fewer and fewer hands."
Interview by Sharif Matar. Camera by Paul Detrick and Zach Weissmueller.

Crooked busybodies.
What's wrong with American politics?
Probably Americans.
Democracy.
Politics.
@4:30... I'm a little concerned with Kay's tone... he seems to be focussed on money being the problem, not the power or number of giveaways (or 'goodies' as Newt put it) that attracts the lobbyists.
Wanna get the money out of politics? Stop making everything free.
I may have jumped the shark too soon before I towed the lion. I'm pleased that Kay then bored into the fantastically complex tax code as a honeypot for money.
It's streaming on Amazon Prime.
I didn't know Will Oldham was now making documentaries.
