Over on V and 11th Street NW in Washington, D.C., a residential building under construction looks exactly like a giant middle finger pointed straight at the White House.

"A lot of people take pictures, they watch, they laugh," said the resident of a building down the block. "They keep looking at this building."

DCist, a local blog, dug up some details on the structure.

Reason TV correspondent Kennedy went out to take a look for herself.

I think this brings balance. The Washington Monument flips the bird in the classical liberal way - middle finger only, other fingers held close to the palm by the thumb. Neo-flippers curl their non-essential fingers in a sort of half-mast flip; i.e. the neighbor buildings look like the knuckles.
There is no disagreement regarding the target of the flips, of course.

The question here is why is this building so tall and narrow? I bet it's a zoning thing or maybe a permit thing. There was probably a story worth reporting here. But instead we go Kennedy and her 12 year old intellect.
