Wendy McElroy on the Art of Being Free
"I want to live freedom," says legendary author and libertarian activist Wendy McElroy, "I don't want to just rail against the government.
McElroy's latest book is The Art of Being Free: Politics Versus the Everyman and Woman. In an interview with Nick Gillespie from last summer's FreedomFest, McElroy stresses the need for libertarians to work against the rise of the state in the wake of the 9/11 attacks. But she also argues that, like Henry David Thoreau, individuals should get on with the business of living."
McElroy blogs regularly at Laissez Faire Books' group blog. Check that out here and her personal website here.
Held each July in Las Vegas, FreedomFest is attended by around 2,000 limited-government enthusiasts and libertarians a year. Reason TV spoke with over two dozen speakers and attendees and will be releasing interviews over the coming weeks. For an ever-growing playlist, go here now.

She's one of those "libertarian feminists," cosmotrainism + 1. How exactly an libertarian feminist world could survive is beyond me. How could a single mother survive in a libertarian world? Most of these women simply do not make enough money to survive without governmen largese. If they aren't already on welfare they have food stampts, the "earned income" "tax credit," subsidized day care, rent supports, obamaphones, and all the benefits that coime from in America like ROADZ, while not having to pay any taxes to support them. That is why most feminists are smart enough to understnadn that their "way of life" is not possible without socialism.
How were they not starving to death during the 1960's before virtually any of those programs? Huh, it's almost like people found a way to do all those things themselves before the government took them over.
If you think Francisco`s story is shocking,, five weeks ago my friend's cousin basically also made $9945 just sitting there eleven hours a week from there apartment and there neighbor's step-mother`s neighbour done this for 9-months and brought in more than $9945 in there spare time from a mac. the information here, http://WWW.FLY38.COM
Is that Nick 'The Jacket' Gillespie? Sorta looks like him.
Connor. if you think Edward`s stori is something, on monday I bought a gorgeous Chrysler after having made $4163 this - five weeks past and just a little over ten grand this past month. it's by-far my favourite-job I have ever had. I began this five months/ago and pretty much straight away was earning minimum $82.. per-hr. I follow the details here, http://www.fb26.com
