Obama Inaugural Rewind: Rhetoric vs Reality
"And those of us who manage the public's dollars will be held to account, to spend wisely, reform bad habits, and do our business in the light of day, because only then can we restore the vital trust between a people and their government."

...because only then can we restore the vital trust between a people and their government.
Listen to the audio. He actually says "vital thrust" there. But really, how can you expect the president to work openly and conscientiously with the people's tax dollars and government resources when House Republicans who are all racists thwart him at every turn?
He'll cross that Rubicon when he gets to it.
He actually says "vital thrust" there.
I think I speak for most when I say I'd greatly appreciate if the government would stop thrusting. Or at least give us the goddamned common courtesy of a reach around.
LOL - especially the reference to Full Metal Jacket
I didn't know Dread CJ Roberts is balding. That's probably why he ruled for ObamneyCare, so male-pattern baldness will be covered via mandate.
the vital trust between a people and their government.
I'm reminded of that story about the scorpion and the frog.
Most Americans think government does too much and then they turn around and vote the greatest interventionist/enabler of our times?
I don't get you Yanks.
Neither do the rest of us here! The US is a ship of fools.
As I said right after the election, you can't fool all of the people all of the time, but sometimes you can fool 51 percent of the people at election time.
Hehehe -- who the heck told you Americans think government does too much?
No worries, Obama has a speech for all occasions!

Great short on the disconnect between Obama's rhetoric, and his reality. And there were so many lies left unmentioned.
Obama's rhetoric is so Orwellian, it's a good bet that whatever Obmama is saying is not only untrue, he's usually doing the opposite of what he says. I suppose it's a case of psychological projection: blame others for what you're doing partly because your assumption is they'd do it too, and partly to fool yourself that you aren't.
Watching the inauguration right now. It's like watching a funeral for my America. It is watching the America that Americans built, on the white marble grounds of Washington, occupied by forces hostile to America. It is occupied by the minorities, the women, the faggots, no white Americans need mentioned except as oppressors. A Christian preacher advocates sodomy, what would people from 20 or even 10 years ago would have said about this? White Americans built this country, and it has been given away, we can't do anything about it without being a "nazi." It is mourning in America, and as the sun comes up we'll see what it looks like.
Methinks you're confusing Reason with Stormfront. Honest mistake, they share, like, 3 of the same letters or something.
One of the most offensive things is that the Obama campaign organization, Obama for America, will soon be turned into a 501(c) 4 social welfare non-profit organization, renamed Organizing For Action.
"Those of us who manage the public's dollars will be held to account."
And what, pray tell, will be the method for account holding? We get to fart on your pillows and draw penises on your faces?
God we should be so lucky, I'd be pretty content scribbling a big dong on the face of just about any politician.
When I first saw the picture, I thought Obama was flipping us the bird. My eyes are tired.
"And those of us who manage the public's dollars will be held to account,..."
If so, the jails would be even more full.
