Alexa Zaiets is a producer at Reason.
She previously served as producer and later director of the Multimedia Department at the Federalist Society, where she developed short documentaries and video series examining law, culture, and public policy. Before that, she was a research assistant to Washington Post columnist George F. Will.
During her time at the Federalist Society, Alexa produced over 10 short documentary films, including The Amish Exception, Creativity on Trial, and JAWBONED: Misinformation vs. Free Speech. Her work has received recognition at several film festivals, among other honors: Creativity on Trial won Best Short Film or Documentary at the 9th Annual California Music Video & Film Awards in 2026, and JAWBONED won Best Editing at the Anthem Film Festival in 2024.
Alexa is a graduate of Gettysburg College, where she majored in Political Science and French. Originally from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, she now lives in Arlington, Virginia, with her husband and their two Persian cats.
