If you are a Reason Plus subscriber, be sure to initially sign in to the app with the email account that you use for Reason Plus access.
The Reason app features all of Reason's latest content in a number of different feeds (timelines) that you can customize according to your preferences. It includes the latest Reason.com posts, videos, podcasts, newsletters, and Reason Plus premium content. It also includes Volokh Conspiracy blog posts. You can signup to receive notifications on your device when content you are interested in is published at Reason.com.
The Reason app allows you to set preferences for what timelines (navigation items) you see, in what order they appear, text size, dark/light mode, and more.
It does not include reader comments on posts.
What you see and what you can customize depends on whether you are logged in and whether you have a paid/donor subscription to Reason Plus.
Free Access - not logged in
You can access most of the content in this app without being logged in. However, you cannot receive or customize app notifications and you cannot see premium Reason Plus content including the latest contents of Reason's print edition.
Free Access - Logged in with a free Reason.com user account.
If you currently have or sign up for a free Reason.com user account, you can manage your notification preferences, allowing you to receive alerts about new Reason content of your choice as soon as it is published. Login in or signup by clicking the icon in the upper right.
Full Access - Logged into Reason Plus with your Reason.com user account
If you have access to Reason Plus as a paid subscriber or Reason donor, you have all of the benefits above in addition to access to all premium content including the latest edition of Reason's print edition and select premium podcast episodes. If you already have access to Reason Plus, just sign in to the app using your Reason account by clicking the icon in the upper right.
If not, you can purchase a subscription at reason.com/subscribe.
Future version features include: Video carousel, events tab, crossword puzzle integration, topic following within the app, merchandise store, and ads.
