Police Bomb Squad

Two full-time officers and five reserve officers on the Hempstead, Texas, police department have been charged with felony evidence tampering. The department has just 13 officers. The charges grew out of incidents where officers allegedly set off flash-bang grenades just for fun, including at a party where one guest lost a foot. The reserve officer accused of setting off the grenades has also been charged with felony assault.
