Brickbat: It's a Gas, Gas, Gas

San Francisco's Board of Supervisors is set to vote on an ordinance proposed by Board President Rafael Mandelman that would ban natural gas in residential and commercial buildings undergoing major renovations, requiring all-electric systems for permitting, a move supporters say will reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve public health. The policy, building on a 2020 ban for new buildings, targets projects altering over two-thirds of a building's walls or ceilings or renovating load-bearing elements supporting over 30 percent of floors, affecting an estimated 785,000 square feet of residential and 250,000 square feet of commercial renovations each year. Critics say the law would deter building upgrades and renovations.

Ham-Handed Sham Shamesisco will tell us ALL twat to do, and twat snot to do! Shit-Sham is twat THEY do, and we should all thank and spank their shanks profusely!
Trump is sending cheap natural gas from Louisiana to China…so you can kiss cheap natural gas goodbye! Cheap natural gas was good while it lasted…but profits were always crap except the few months after Putin invaded Ukraine.
Cheap natural gas cums from Trumps Ass, and He uses shit to blow up His Favorite blow-up doll, whose Trump-Bestowed Pet Name is "Queen Spermy Daniels"!
In days of yore, Epstein was the ONLY one to EVER be allowed to join Trump in bed with ass-gas-filled "Queen Spermy Daniels", and that was on the STRICT cuntdition that there will be NO smoking in bed!
More seriously...
https://www.cnbc.com/2025/07/31/trump-announces-trade-deal-with-south-korea-setting-tariffs-at-15percent.html Trump announces trade deal with South Korea, setting tariffs at 15% …
Trump also said in a post on social media platform Truth Social that South Korea will “will give to the United States $350 Billion Dollars for Investments owned and controlled by the United States, and selected by myself, as President.”
Trump is now a One-Man Cummander In Chief of the USA economy, and a YUUUUGE part of the world’s economy!!! Thanks for NOTHING for putting this asshole in orifice, ye STUPID “Team R” Tribalist voters!
Might not have to sell elsewhere if Trump would get rid of the Jones Act. But he won't, because he's a stupid protectionist.
Trump isn't a dictator who can repeal laws with a wave of his hand. Not yet anyway. Got to wait until his third term for that. Though you are right. Even if he did have that power he would keep the Jones Act in place.
Bullshit from a bullshit generator; we have NG by the buckets, but Malthusian assholes always claim THE SKY IS FALLING!!!!!!!!!!
The production and transmission of electricity thankfully involves no hazardous chemicals or fossil fuels whatsoever.
They can do this because California has such a proven track record of dependably delivering electricity 24/7/365. Oh... wait.
CB
Nowhere on the web can I find a study showing natural gas emissions are more harmful to the environment than a sidewalk covered in human sewage.
Priorities are important.
This should be put on the back burner.
I don't know buddy, this is a half-baked issue that's likely going to boil over.
"Nobody is trying to take away your gas stoves!"
Think they are now being referred to as assault appliances.
Nobody needs more than one burner.
They want to limit the range of options.
Only the scary black ones.
I've actually been told this by the same people that support these types of bans.
Nutjobs need to do their research on the total energy available at the point of consumption per unit of CO2 produced and see that natural gas is THE lowest CO2 way to do anything needing to apply heat to food or a space.
"Follow the science"
But only follow OUR science, not that silly one that uses facts.
Further, do they imagine the electricity generated by unicorn farts? Nope: NG.
Have any of these carbon-obsessed cause people thought about converting to hydrogen instead of electricity?
Sounds like a reason for developers not to renovate any properties again. Guessing they'll need a mandate that forces owners to renovate every five years.
California can't slide into the ocean fast enough.
Also, the idea it reduces emissions is absurd since electricity still needs to be generated and they surely aren't using so-called 'renewable' energy to do so. There is a reason California runs out of power every year, and making everything electric isn't going to solve jack or shit for the state. In fact, they are going to make it worse and tell you that straight to your face.
Well? So what? Just another nail in the coffin of a once beautiful and vibrant city. High population density urban centers used to have a purpose, and a side effect of that purpose was the concentration of cultural centers funded by wealthy benefactors. The less fortunate citizens who did the dirty work to maintain those urban centers might say it is past time that those dinosaurs went the way of the dinosaurs. Say, "bye bye!" as they crumble into disrepair.
Madness.
How is most of California's electricity generated?
By other states?
In the New England area, LOTS of "juice" cums from Canada... So that the goody-two-shoes in the USA can claim to be more "carbon free"! Export that EVIL C-Oh-Two production across the border, and we are all CLEAN, ya see!!!
California gets 50% of its electricity from natural gas, 10% from nuclear, 5% from Hydro power, and 30% from renewables.
At times as much as 30% of Californias electricity comes from other states
requiring all-electric systems for permitting, a move supporters say will reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve public health
Pay no attention to what's producing the electricity!
