Brickbat: Too Hot to Cool Off

Citing extreme heat and humidity, the city of Toronto recently closed several swimming pools temporarily. Temperatures reached the mid-30s Celsius (about 95 Fahrenheit) and humidity index values were in the low- to mid-40s (as high as 113 degrees Fahrenheit). Long lines formed at pools as people sought relief from the heat and humidity.

Now explain why.
Lack of lifeguards.
Solution: you want in the public pool, then sign to indemnify the city for opening pools without lifeguards.
Or, here's a thought - pretty sure there's a couple Great Lakes within easy driving distance. Try that.
FFS Chaz. Are you really that out of material?
Hilariously, there was no lack of lifeguards.
The city - just that one city - claimed it was too hot for them to work and since there were no lifeguards . . . pool's closedduetoaids
The mayor made the decision but tried to blame it on province rules and the province threw her under the bus.
Everyone knows Canadians are magically animated snowmen and snowwomen - they melt above a certain temperature.
The hosers will have to urinate in Lake Ontario instead.
Without the local pool, they'll have to find some other place to give their skin that sexy, Summer, pasty bleached bone, hue.
Here's one lifeguard that doesn't seem to have understood the job title...

Sounds like the standard socialist "We have to destroy the pre-existing social order/structure in order to save the social order/structure" MO to me.
Wouldn't have happened on Biden's watch, he'd have freed the pool from the local gang that seized it. Armed with his trusty chain and a snappy one liner, Joe would have made short work of Corn Pop Jr and his minions.
" . . . humidity index values were in the low- to mid-40s (as high as 113 degrees Fahrenheit)."
And damned near every writer here has "editor" in their job title.
Reads like fraud to me.
