BeTreylin Elder, a teacher at Georgia's DeRenne Middle School, has resigned after being caught on video tossing an 11-year-old student across the classroom. The boy reportedly confronted Elder after the teacher made sexual remarks about his mother. No charges have been filed against Elder.

[Stupid Government Tricks]

A real justice system, such as victim prosecution, would have arrested the teacher on the spot, considering the article has what looks like frames from a video of the teacher grabbing the student and tossing him. But government employee, teachers union, and qualified immunity make me doubt much will ever happen to the teacher. Reassignment to another school is a joke, and I hope parents there raise holy hell.
