Brickbat: Gang Squad

In a letter to Sheriff Alex Villanueva, Los Angeles County Inspector General Max Hunstman claimed his office has compiled a list of 41 deputies who are members of "gang-like" organizations, including the Banditos and the Executioners. The letter did not name any of the deputies. In a statement, the sheriff's department said Huntsman "failed to provide any actual evidence or new information." "This is another irresponsible attempt from Mr. Huntsman to discredit the organization, through omission and misrepresentation," the statement said.

Southern California is a mess.
Membership in multiple gangs is allowed. Loyalty to which gang is the question?
Corruption, lies, political maneuvering, factless allegations; just another day in a democrat controlled city in a democrat controlled state.
(and local news, by the way)
I thought gang membership was a state requirement to live in CA now.
Since when did “actual evidence” matter to a cop? The inspector should’ve phrased it as “I detected a strong odor of gang affiliation while twenty yards away from the deputy’s vehicle.” That would’ve brought out the SWAT team!
First, define "gang like" to me because I don't trust the beuracrats of Commiefornia to be honest.
Second, are these active memberships and activities outside investigations or are we tossing in reformed former gang members and undercover officers?
If this is ramparts part 2, then it's not a good thing but pardon the skepticism of a region with Soros as it's primary funder and ideological rolemodel.
They dress alike, they roam in packs and are always quick to back each other up, they hate being "disrespected", they have strong connections to similar organizations in other locations, they carry weapons almost constantly, they frequently abuse other citizens and extort money from them with implicit threats of violence...
Not naming names? Looks like the IG is taking a page from Joseph McCarthy.
He has a kraken's worth of damning evidence!
so Pac-Man was in on it the whole time?
I mean, yes, yes it it. Accusations without providing evidence to back it up - what are they expecting the Sheriff to do?
"King Kong ain't got nothing on me!!"
Probably a smart move. Doxxing police gang members to the boss is likely to get you and your family "accidentally" swatted. Better to give it to the US Marshals or something.
