Brickbat: Don't Take Your Son to Work

Folk singer Angelo Kelly has been fined 3,000 euros ($3,635 U.S.) after bringing his 4-year-old son on stage to sing a song with him during a concert in Bavaria. A court ruled that violated Germany's law on child labor, which says children ages 3 to 6 can take part in musical performances but only with official approval and not after 5 p.m.

You know who else tried to recruit children into his line of work?
I give up, who?
Willy Wonka?
Jared from Subway?
The Pied Piper?
Joe Biden?
Epstein?
Wanda Maximoff?
Lord Baden Powell?
Jesus Christ?
Does his son get the fine money since he was the one "hurt" by being forced to perform after hours and without permission? No? I didn't think so.
The 'harm' was to the government for breaking their law. So they pocket the cash. It's so simple.
Take your trans daughter to work day.
official approval and not after 5 p.m.
"Sir, your son was extremely tired for his evaluation today, and I think I am going to have to keep him overnight."
Maybe the law exists because after 5 pm is when the German pedos come out, or the crowd will be so drunk by then that a child could get hit by a flying beer bottle. Either way, I’m sure it’s for their own good/ sarc
The law was made to punish exploitation of children who were forced to put on routine, repeated shows. If this was his first offense, a warning would be appropriate. After all, it's not terribly intuitive.
However, I would not be surprised if he knew about and explicitly flaunted the law repeatedly. These Brickbat stories have a habit of leaving out important details like that.

Yeah, presumably the word 'repeatedly' isn't outside Reason or the Germans' vocabulary but given Reason's reporting, who knows.
Clearly it's abuse. We all know how much 4-year old children hate being the center of attention.
My child arrived just the other day
He came to the world in the usual way
But there were planes to catch and bills to pay
He learned to walk while I was away
And he was talkin' 'fore I knew it, and as he grew
He'd say "I'm gonna be like you dad
You know I'm gonna be like you".
*wipes tear*
Here's hoping the German bureaucrat dies in a fiery car crash.
If you believe there is no end to the "good" government can,[and should], do [if only the right people are in charge] this is what you get. It is not like it ever reaches a saturation point at which time your betters decide "well, this is plenty enough government to make sure everyone is 'safe,'" the the trains run on time, that no one for any possible reason is discriminated against or offended...no, it feeds on itself until it is life an elf on the shelf perched on your mantle watching and reacting to every fucking thing you do.
And, naturally, those who desire a government to enact their wishes, are perfectly happy with it directing its authority at [fucking with] any and every one they do not like or agree with.
Now I know why the Von Trapp family really fled.
I really need a "like button.
I'm curious as to who brought the complaint.
I'm guessing she's named "Karen".
For sure even dumb bureaucrats know that singing one song onstage with your kid is not what child labor laws were intended to prevent. I have a feeling this was just a way to for the authorities to make an extra 3,000 Euros. They probably need to meet a quota.
That can be natural and undeniable, we need to protect children more
