Brickbat: Taste the Feeling

Chattooga County, Georgia, Commissioner Jason Winters has banned cameras and recording devices from his offices after his wife poured a soda on a reporter's head during a budget hearing. Winters was caught on video during the incident appearing to say the reporter deserved it. Abby Winters, his wife, has been charged with simple battery and disorderly conduct. She claims she tripped and accidentally poured the soda over the reporter's head.

The WaPo fingers the real culprit.
Who hasn't wanted to pour a soda on a journalist's head at some point.
Michael Bloomberg. A NYPD beating is much better for the health of the journalist. He really cares.
Except here, a journalist asked about the commissioner and his wife's trip to France and where budget money was spent which led to the assault and insult of the reporter calling her a "b***h" Listen to the video/audio around 1:10 at the linked source:
Reporter: "I'm saying that he went to France"
Wife(?): "Oh yes b***h, you need to stop."
Seems to me the commissioner and his wife protest too much. Trump calls out fake new, while corrupt officials assault reporters. Which brings to mind the journalists Obama prosecuted and spied upon, and the leakers he prosecuted under the Espionage Act.
Yes, but, Orange Man Bad!
Perhaps there is no one more familiar with the strong-armed tactics of the U.S. national-security establishment than James Risen, the long-serving New York Times reporter who’s now with the Intercept. In a well-documented saga, Risen fought a seven-year court battle against government attempts to compel his testimony in a leak case against ex-CIA officer Jeffrey Sterling. Though the government won the case against Sterling, it didn’t ultimately force Risen’s testimony.
Even so, Risen had experienced firsthand the Obama administration’s scorched-earth stance on leaks. Weeks before President Barack Obama was to leave office, Risen wrote in the Times, “If Donald J. Trump decides as president to throw a whistle-blower in jail for trying to talk to a reporter, or gets the F.B.I. to spy on a journalist, he will have one man to thank for bequeathing him such expansive power: Barack Obama.”

It's not only expansive, it's expanding. Each successive President pushes the envelope a little further, they're all unprecedential.
Well, that is one advantage of the pure vitriol that the press gives Trump. He can't get away with anything.
""Each successive President pushes the envelope a little further, they’re all unprecedential.""
I made an attempt to impress this on some Obama fans that were cheering his phone and pen comment.
By the looks of his wife, she probably had another soda as a backup, so no big loss.
She tripped?
Too bad lying isn’t a crime, yet.
I'm disappointed that no one has yet pointed out that Abby Winters is also the name of a porn site
I also read the comments to see if anyone would mention it. I guess AW should update their wiki page (which states Abby Winters is not a real person), to read she is a "pretend" clumsy cunt that can't hold a Coke. Probably because Australia is located upside-down, or something...
Teaching the world to sing is old news.
Getting viraled in sounds painful.
