Democrats Revive Russia-Probe Drama With Live-Action Version of the Mueller Report
Plus: Kamala Harris jokes about starving prisoners, Trump sues over tax-return release, "Big Tech" witch hunt gets official, and more..

Mueller Mania 4-ever. Determined not to let go of the Russian boogeymen they've conjured since President Donald Trump took office, Democrats are now staging a live-action version of the Mueller report before members of Congress.
The spectacle, which goes down today, will feature Special Counsel Robert Mueller testifying before the House Judiciary Committee and House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence about his findings in the Trump-Russia probe.
In case you're the masochistic type, here's how you can watch along from home:
The judiciary appearance has already begun; the next session starts at noon.
Each committee member will get five minutes to question Mueller about his investigation and report.
ELECTION 2020
Kamala Harris trolls people who don't think prison abuse is funny. Is there any better indication that Harris thinks she's impervious to criticism of her record as a drug warrior who defended dirty cops and moved to throw poor parents in prison than this scene from a new Washington Post profile, in which she compares running a presidential campaign to serving in prison?
"I actually got sleep," Kamala said, sitting in a Hilton conference room, beside her sister, and smiling as she recalled walks on the beach with her husband and that one morning SoulCycle class she was able to take.
"That kind of stuff," Kamala said between sips of iced tea, "which was about bringing a little normal to the days, that was a treat for me."
"I mean, in some ways it was a treat," Maya said. "But not really."
"It's a treat that a prisoner gets when they ask for, 'A morsel of food please,'" Kamala said shoving her hands forward as if clutching a metal plate, her voice now trembling like an old British man locked in a Dickensian jail cell. "'And water! I just want wahtahhh….'Your standards really go out the f---ing window."
Kamala burst into laughter.
Meanwhile, Neera Tanden continues to do her best to prove the right doesn't own paranoid conspiracy:

And Jonathan Chait suggests the Democratic Party is both "a hidebound claque of traditionalists who are consistently outmaneuvered by a more disciplined and ruthless opposition" and also "being hijacked by ideological fanatics sent on a political suicide mission."
QUICK HITS
- Nope, definitely nothing to hide:
President Trump on Tuesday filed a lawsuit against the House Ways and Means Committee, New York Attorney General Letitia James and New York tax commissioner Michael Schmidt in an effort to block them from releasing his state tax returns.
• The Justice Department is opening an antitrust investigation into "Big Tech," because if there's one thing that says Serious Investigation and not Political Stunt, it's going after an amorphously defined group with a totally loaded label.
• New York just criminalized "the non-consensual sharing or publication of an intimate image."
• A federal judge has ordered a temporary block of three anti-abortion laws in Arkansas.
- Democratic presidential candidates are now denouncing the rush to #MeToo judgement on Al Franken, despite previously jumping right in with the Franken-needs-to-go crowd.
- Dispatches from Trump's talk to conservative college students:

...Democrats are now staging a live-action version of the Mueller report before members of Congress.</I.
The denouement is Hillary is president.
Is there any better indication that Harris thinks she's impervious to criticism of her record as a drug warrior who defended dirty cops and moved to throw poor parents in prison...
She becomes the nominee, she will be.
FYI: My new signature move is going to be to try to ruin formatting and then reply to myself.
Sounds good.
Great reply Loveconstitution1789!!!!
That makes you a better person than Gilmore. He is still probably a better dresser, though.
This is where eunuch does that thing he is so fond of: obliquely reference other posters to signal how familiar he is with comments here, and maintain the illusion, to himself, that he has friends.
It's a sad, unfunny sight.
But eunuch is not completely alone. Now that mcgoo has joined up, along with chemjeff and sqrlsy, the Dickless Squad finally has a quartet to match their congressional namesake.
To be or not to be... that is the question, eunuch.
And you got it wrong again this morning.
Hey now, we all need dumb friends to laugh at. Isnt cuck squad better?
Fist, I am *shocked* at the tag error.
That, as always, is to prove that I come up with these on the fly and don't have prior knowledge and set my comments up ahead of time.
Also I call on ENB to fix it for me.
Ah, HA!!
ENB! ENB! ENB!
[looks around]
Well, that was disappointing.
Also I call on ENB to fix it for me.
The last time someone called on ENB to fix something for them, it didn't turn out so well.
Hello.
1) Mueller and the investigation, one would figure, won't age well as time moves forward and sober minds examine it.
2) Harris is pure evil.
Naturally celebrities support her.
Each committee member will get five minutes to
question Mueller about his investigation and reportspew sanctimonious crap aimed at getting re-elected.FTFY
LARPing Mueller is just as boring as the table-top version.
Robert Mueller is an American hero whose exhaustive investigation definitively proved what Rachel Maddow has been saying for years. Today's testimony marks a tipping point.
The walls are closing in. It's the beginning of the end.

The Democratic congresspeeps have literally been stealing your Reason posts in their questioning!

"Our boy OBL states..." ( very insulting)

"A gentleman by the name of OBL has confirmed..." (more misgendering)
At least this investigation didnt cause anyone to commit suicide due to prosecutorial abuse. This is tamed Mueller.
Democrats Revive Russia-Probe Drama With Live-Action Version of the Mueller Report
Do y'all see the MSM begging
everyoneAmericans to watch this stupid shit with Mueller? You can smell the Lefty desperation through the interwebs.

Aren't the ideological fanatics the ruthless opposition?
My prediction: Tulsi runs as third party Green candidate to help Trump win. I will take bets on this.

I bet they are working on a deepfake of Tulsi getting lei'd by Putin.
Another Democrat calls for impeachment.
This is a pivotal moment in our nation’s history, and I believe President Trump presents an existential threat to our democracy. I am, therefore, calling for the immediate opening of an impeachment inquiry of President Donald Trump. Watch my full statement below.

So I was trapped in an office with the Mueller hearing playing this morning. Mueller said he didn't know Fusion GPS was behind the dossier. Then someone asked him if there had ever been a case besides Donald Trump where the subject of an investigation was not exonerated because they couldn't prove their innocence. Mueller answered "no".
You get the sense that Mueller was a front man and was not only not really in charge of the investigation but had no idea how it was being conducted or much of anything about it.
Mueller said he didn’t know Fusion GPS was behind the dossier.
W.T.F? "Investigate the investigators!"
He really said that. He comes across as an incarnation of the Black Adder.
He's a mendacious hack laying covering fire down for his butt buddy comey. That's all this is.
He is that. But damn he seems old and out of it.
Mueller does not strike me as a person who has much backbone.
Someone with backbone would have told the Lefties and the Deep State to go fuck themselves or indict every single last Lefty and Deep State fucker that he had a drop of evidence against.
That would have been hilarious if Mueller would have indicted Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, Podesta, Barack Obama, Biden, Loretta Lynch, Christopher Steele, all the Russians, John Brennan, Comey, McCabe, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, Bruce Ohr.
Since Trump is President, he would not pardon any one of those fuckers.
If he had any backbone or integrity, he would never have made it to the top of the FBI.
Good point

'Insufficient evidence' but 'not cleared'.
I don't care what creed, race or religion you come from or what party you back, if you can't see in just that alone it was all bull shit and how this is a highly problematic statement, then you're intellectually and morally bankrupted.
It can happen to you. Just remember that at the very least.
How would like it if your world was destroyed prior to having your day in court only to be proven innocent but told 'yeh but' based on nothing?
Answer.
""Mueller said he didn’t know Fusion GPS was behind the dossier.""
Wasn't the dossier, Fusion GPS, and Steele mentioned in his report?
Mueller doesn't seem to know what's in the report.
I saw like ten minutes, and he answered "I leave it at what's in my report" at least a dozen times. Meanwhile, several times he had to be informed that something was a quote from "his" report, and another time he asked what page one rep was reading from - and the rep informed him that he was reading the question he'd written.
Mueller time! Aka, senility
Fusion GPS was mentioned, not by name, and Mueller pretended he had never heard of "Fusion GPS" and couldn't get into that because they weren't in the report
Charitable answer: He wants to forget this shit as much as the rest of America does.
Wat?
"Mr. Mueller, have you stopped beating your wife?"
In the minds of prosecutors, you are not exonerated even if a jury finds you not guilty.
Well, if "exonerated" means proven to be actually innocent, it's not factually wrong. Reasonable doubt about guilt does not equal certainty about innocence. And that's a good thing.
Of course, legally one should be treated as if they are innocent after being acquitted in court.
Yes it is factually wrong in that prosecutors do not concern themselves with actual innocence only with whether guilt can be proven.
I was talking about the "you are not exonerated even if a jury finds you not guilty" part.
It's true and it's by design. To avoid harming innocent people, guilty people sometimes have to go free.
And I think it's worth saying again, lest someone grossly misinterpret what I'm saying, that in the eyes of the law, someone who has been acquitted should be considered innocent.
From the few minutes I saw, Mueller came off as an old man who'd wandered off from the nursing home, and was now trying to answer questions about where he was, how he'd gotten there, and who he is.
But instead of being found by nice people just trying to look out for him, he's being grilled by irate orderlies trying to get him back (to cover their malpractice) on one side, and pissed off relatives of other residents with a vendetta against the home who want to use him (to expose the malpractice there) on the other side.
That is a great analogy. That about perfectly sums up the hearing.
Trump Sues New York and Congress to Shield His State Tax Returns
I for one think the 1st Amendment allegation by Trump's lawyers is very smart.
Changing the rules of the game to find dirt on your political enemies might be A Bridge Too Far.
As if Hillary working with Russian and British spies to find dirt on her political enemy was not enough.
President Trump on Tuesday filed a lawsuit against the House Ways and Means Committee, New York Attorney General Letitia James and New York tax commissioner Michael Schmidt in an effort to block them from releasing his state tax returns.
Maybe it's like Obama and his birth certificate. Make everyone spend time and effort fighting it out for something that will turn out to be nothing.
He will win this. The law is a bill of attainder. You can't pass a law that says "this one guy must do something".
+1000
I always forget about the constitutional prohibition on Bills of Attainder.
It will turn out to be absolutely nothing. If there was something, the partisans in the IRS would have long ago leaked it. To think that there is something there you have to believe that the Obama Administration didn't release it as an October surprise to help Hillary out of kindness or commitment to the rule of law. Yeah, that is what happened. Sure.
Remember the time Rachel Maddow got a hold of some of Trumps tax returns, but they were older and nothing to exploit.
They got the ones from the early 1990s that showed he lost a bunch money. Not only was there nothing illegal there, Trump had on numerous occasions talked about how much money he lost and how broke he was in the mid 1990s. But the walls were closing in. They were going to get him that time!!
And they showed trump paid a higher tax rate than obama, Clinton, and Biden.
That's why I'm sure it was deliberately leaked by Trump or someone in his camp like Banning, just to troll her.
Shit, Bannon, not Banning.
As far as Lefties are concerned, he's Bane.
Co-starring Gorka as the Penguin.
Definitely. Lefties in the IRS and NY State's tax department have already gone over Trump's tax returns with a fine tooth comb.
I don't know if they do it with corporate taxes, but NYS audits every tax return. Every year I get a readjustment, always in my favor due to not taking a credit of some sort. I semi-joke about just sending them my W2 and letting them figure it out and sending me a bill or a credit.
If they are willing to leak a minor non player Joe the Plumber's taxes they sure would have leaked Trump's by now.

Also, the rhetoric from Cuomo and the legislators behind this is a fascinating study in the utopian impulse to perfect Man or there will be hell to pay.
Democratic presidential candidates are now denouncing the rush to #MeToo judgement on Al Franken...

They will scream, "thank you sir may I have another". They want the regs to stomp out would be competition.
NO they won't. They want regulations but they don't want those regulations enforced on them. Anti Trust is not the same as regulation. Also anti trust can be criminal and involves people talking under oath. This is a nightmare for them. If they wanted this, Obama would have given it to them.
This massive government intervention in the economy will somehow work out better than every previous one because this one is prosecuted by John, and his heart is pure.
Ugh, proposed.
Autocorrect...
The US has been enforcing anti trust law for over a century. There is nothing new about this. But lets not do it. Let's make it so that a huge section of the economy and some of the most powerful companies in history are above the law and immune from its enforcement. That ought to work out well.

Yet somehow Disney never gets noticed by the Justice Department.
For two years, Democrats have waited on Robert Mueller to deliver a death blow to the Trump presidency,” The New York Times observed on July 20. “On Wednesday, in back-to-back hearings with the former special counsel, that wish could face its final make-or-break moment.” The very fact that Democrats had to subpoena Mueller in order to create this final moment should in fact be the final reminder of what a mistake it was for Democrats to have waited on him. If Mueller had incriminating information yet to share, or had been stymied from doing his work, or if Attorney General William Barr had somehow misrepresented his findings, then it stands to reason that Mueller would be welcoming the opportunity to appear before Congress, not resisting it. The reality is that Mueller’s investigation did not indict anyone on the Trump campaign for collusion with Russia, or even for anything related to the 2016 election. Mueller’s report found no evidence of a Trump-Russia conspiracy, and even undermined the case for it.
That said, there are unresolved matters that Mueller’s testimony could help clarify. Mueller claimed to have established that the Russian government conducted “a sweeping and systematic” interference campaign in order to elect Trump, yet the contents of his report don’t support that allegation. The Mueller report repeatedly excludes countervailing information in order to suggest, misleadingly, that the Trump campaign had suspect “links” and “ties” to people connected with Russia. And Mueller and other intelligence officials involved in the Russia probe made questionable investigative decisions that are worthy of scrutiny. To address these issues, here are some questions that Mueller could be asked.
http://www.thenation.com/article/questions-mueller-russiagate/
You read that link correctly. That is The Nation saying this. Even the Nation says it is all bullshit. Wow.
'Mr. Mueller, is it true that your report repeatedly excludes countervailing information in order to suggest, misleadingly, that the Trump campaign had suspect “links” and “ties” to people connected with Russia?'
Is that perjury on his part?
The committee must ask *him* that!
I'll give you a dollar if you kiss Al Franken's slimy fishlips.
My quick read on two stories:
1) The reason the Democrats are replaying the spectacle of the Russia investigation and the reason the Democrats spent last week lambasting Trump for his supposedly racist tweets were both for the same reason: The Democrats have little or nothing better to offer the American people in an election year than that crap sandwich.
The only things that make them less popular than calling the president a racist or rehashing the Russia investigation is when they talk about Medicare for All, The Green New Deal, or whatever other god awful thing the candidates are saying to play to the Democrat base right now. This really is the best the Democrats have got.
2) When Kamala Harris is being lambasted for being tough on crime, it's the best advertising she can get. It's a lot like how Trump wants to be denounced as a racist by the most hated people in Congress--you can't buy that kind of advertising. Kamala Harris being denounced as a law and order type by the kinds of people centrists hate is not bad for her campaign.
Here's the breakdown again: Bernie Sanders and Liz Warren are likely to split the northeast between them. Kamala Harris has a real advantage in California--especially with organization on the ground. That means states like Florida and Texas are likely to be the deciding factors--and law and order candidates don't play badly with centrist voters in states like Florida and Texas. Has anyone ever lost an election in Texas because they were too tough on crime?
Agreed, Kamala is a great combo for the mainstream hypocrite who says and tweets woke things out loud but doesn't want to rock the boat by voting for ten year plans to bankrupt the country.
The woke twitterati are just the tip of the Democrat iceberg.
A nice chunk of the Republicans who voted for Trump in swing states voted for Obama in 2008 and 2012. Average Democrats are still not woke. It's just that the donors and the superdelegates are far more woke than the average Democrat. The superdelegates and the donors may split themselves among Sanders, Warren, and others, but donors and social justice warriors only get one vote each--just like everybody else. Kamala Harris may not need them in order to win in California, Florida, and Texas--and Harris also has the unspoken advantage of being the minority woman the woke really want to vote for anyway--no matter what she says. After all, Barack Obama ran on the slogan that "Marriage is between a man and a woman", but what we refer to as social justice warriors lined up behind him anyway--and felt good about it.
My quick reaction to the News in general:
Given REASON's love of all stores about social-media generated news, and all news regarding citizens unpleasant interactions with law enforcement, I am shocked there is nothing on the NYPD being doused with buckets of water in 2 boroughs yesterday, and an officer being hit in the head with a thrown bucket
"Nope, definitely nothing to hide:

C'mon ENB, release your medical records, what do you have to hide?
Since when are libertarians for invasion of privacy? Tax documents are private by law.
No shit. Hey, ENB, let the police search your house with no warrant. You have nothing to hide, right?
Nothing says "libertarian" like "a person asserting his rights must have something to hide". Because Orange man bad or something.
Hilariously, we aren't just talking about the prescriptions in his medicine cabinet or the toys on the top shelf of his closet either. Trump may be *anxious inhale* underpaying his taxes *full gasp*!
Trump may have taken advantage of legal tax avoidance methods. The humanity!!
Shit, given the Mueller Report the way they've gone about getting ahold of his returns the idea that they wouldn't enact a retroactive tax that he would now be guilty of avoiding doesn't seem exceedingly crazy.
After repeating the question multiple times, Mueller failed to provide a clear answer.
"Can you give me an example other than Donald Trump where the Justice Department determined that an investigated person is not exonerated because their innocence was not conclusively determined?" Ratcliffe asked.
Mueller replied that he could not identify another person who was ever held to the same standard as Trump, but added that "this is a unique situation."
Yeah, it's pretty obnoxious to phrase it that way. My tax returns are pretty fucking vanilla, and no, I don't want anyone looking at them.
Releasing complex tax returns to a bunch of numbskulls who don't actually understand taxes; what could go wrong? Actually, it's a bit worse: releasing complex tax returns to a bunch of numbskulls, motivated to declare your tax filings as nefarious, fraudulent and/or criminal, who don't actually understand taxes.

This is interesting
Given that this is the question of the day, a remarkable rumor is circulating among some Democrats. This is – in the words of one source – that Mueller is ‘slowly losing his faculties’, that at the age of 74, the former special counsel is going senile. The source went on to say that this was one reason why Mueller had been ‘so intent’ on limiting the time and scope of the hearings today.
This particular source was a senior official in the last presidential administration and maintains good lines of communication into the DoJ. Democrats had a slightly different version of this rumor when Mueller handed in his report to the attorney general, William Barr. Then, they were briefing that the White House would brief that Mueller had dementia, spinning a lie in order to undermine what the administration fully expected would be a brutal report damning the president as a traitor.
Now that Mueller’s report is not what they wanted, these same Democrats are starting to believe that ‘lie’. It is tempting to see a psychological explanation for this.
For two years, President Trump’s critics viewed Mueller as a kind of superman, cape fluttering in the wind, who would destroy the Trump presidency with a mighty blow from a righteous fist. When Mueller said he could not prove – or ‘establish’ – that collusion had taken place, there was puzzlement and disappointment. He had not even tried to subpoena the President. He must have lost his mind.
The late request for Mueller to have a second by his side, his deputy, Aaron Zebley, has only turned up the heat under this simmering pot. One Democrat said it was ‘amazing’ that he had asked an aide to join him as a witness. President Trump himself agreed, tweeting that Zebley’s appearance was ‘a disgrace’. ‘VERY UNFAIR, SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED. A rigged Witch Hunt!’
http://spectator.us/senior-democrat-mueller-losing-faculties/
Talk about a self-fulfilling prophecy.
the morning news has already been claiming he is failing mentally and that will be their latest excuse for not getting to the bottom of Trumps Treason. They are all on bored with this idea so fast, in less than an hour of hearings, that some may think it was planned that way.
Claiming Mueller has dementia is the very definition of sour grapes after the way these exceptional fucks have acted the last three years.
Remember all of the stories about old people hoping they won't die before the Mueller report came out?
Is this more of the usual Democrats DEMAND an investigation and then ignore the outcome?

Didn't China sue Japan for using Chinese women as "sperm extracting machines" during WWII?
"The Justice Department is opening an antitrust investigation into "Big Tech," because if there's one thing that says Serious Investigation and not Political Stunt, it's going after an amorphously defined group with a totally loaded label."
Medicare for All and The Green New Deal may be even less popular with the American people than calling the president a racist or rehashing the Russia investigation, but if there's anybody less popular than both the Democrats and Donald Trump right now, surely it can only be social media with Facebook and Google as prime examples.
I suppose journalists and the news media are probably less popular than either Democrats or Donald Trump now, too, just like they were in 2016. If there's anyone more unpopular than both Democrats and Donald Trump AND the news media right now, it's probably only Facebook, Google, and Twitter.
I suspect Zuckerberg is less popular than Wall Street bankers, less popular than personal injury attorneys, less popular than drug cartels, less popular than street gangs, less popular than journalists, and less popular than used car salesmen.
When people hate politicians, one of the few things politicians can do to combat that in an election year is go after someone the people hate even more than politicians. In the 50's, they politicians would rail against communists--because voters hated communists more than anybody. The Zuckersucks of the world are the communists of this election cycle. Voters hate the Zuckersucks of the world, in all their forms, so much, if punishing social media is wrong, they don't want to be right.
And it's that way on both sides of the Democrat/Republican divide for opposite reasons! Conservatives hate them for censoring conservatives, and progressives hate them for not doing more to censor conservatives. The only thing they all seem to agree on is that they all hate social media with a passion.
One problem though.
Young people's lives revolve around social media.
Finally, #ItsMuellerTime!
Sorry - I'm running on #AutumnFallsTime.
Jordan: Who allegedly told Papadopoulos about the Russians having Hillary's e-mails?
Mueller: Can't answer. Internal deliberations.
Jordan: What do you mean you can't answer? IT'S IN YOUR REPORT. It's Joseph Mifsud. Who *your report* says lied. Why didn't you charge him?

wow
What are the odds that this backfires on the Lefties like Hillary not campaigning in PA, MI, WI, and OH?
Because I didn’t want to squeeze him for testimony?
I've heard "no one is above the law" uttered several times already in the Mueller hearing. Uttered by the same folks that think illegal immigrants, who have had hearings and been legally found to be subject to deportation, are above the law.
The FISA court judges who signed off on any of this are the ones that need to be called to testify.
And have them get grilled on approving warrants based on the fruit of the poisoned tree? Not likely.
How much longer will it be until they make a Mueller Report Movie? And how hard will it need to tank before Democrats get a clue?

Straight to video and every Wal-mart, video store, dollar store, regional hardware store, and gas station that carries it in their $5 DVD bins will all mysteriously burn down and, even then, they will still consider it to be something everyone should see at least once. If it gave everyone who watched or read it cancer, then they *might* have to reconsider their stance.
those stores wouldn't waste the money on shipping it will go straight to LinkTv which so few watch probably only a few will know the channel even exist.
Listened to a few minutes of the hearing, and it was mostly speeches poorly disguised as questions.
The Mueller drinking game should be a sip every time he says, “It’s in the report.” I was gonna say a shot, but that’d end the game pretty quickly.
Jimmy Morales, the president of Guatemala, is still trying to get Guatemala's version of the supreme court to withdraw their ruling that prevented him from signing a Safe Third Country agreement with the United States.
"Morales responded to the tweets with a statement posted on Facebook blaming Guatemala’s Constitutional Court justices for upsetting Trump.
“The repercussions of the Government of the United States of America toward Guatemala derive from a series of counterproductive actions by the Constitutional Court, which on repeated occasions has ruled against the content and spirit of our Constitution,” Morales said, adding that “most of its judges, identified as having personal political interests, have used their investment to meddle in the foreign policy of the Guatemalan state.”
Later Tuesday, Morales asked the Constitutional Court to revoke its decision."

U.S foreign aid to Guatemala is a pittance compared to remittances, the latter of which Trump threatened to go after yesterday. I doubt we'll see the Guatemalan legislature move on allowing Morales to sign the safe third country agreement until and unless Trump goes after remittances to Guatemala. If Trump does like he did with Iran and Russia, he might slap sanctions on specific individuals in Guatemala, only instead of doing it under the auspices of national security, he'll use money laundering and human trafficking as a fig leaf. That might be effective.
The sad thing is that Mexico's 45 days to significantly stop the flow of asylum seekers to the U.S. is up, I believe, on Monday, which is when Trump is due to pronounce his judgement on whether Mexico's efforts have been sufficiently effective--so that no safe third country agreement is necessary. If they weren't sufficiently effective, Mexico agreed to put a safe third country agreement before the Mexican Senate for a vote, but without Guatemala joining the agreement, according to numerous sources, it's unlikely that the Mexican Senate will pass the safe third country agreement.
So, when we see Trump make a pronouncement one way or the other, on Monday, it may be telling as to whether we can expect to see tariffs against Mexico materialize. In other words, it's unlikely that Mexico will agree to become a safe haven for asylum seekers from Central America without Guatemala on board--unless there were something like tariffs against Mexico involved. The Senate might vote for a safe third country agreement without Guatemala if the pain of tariffs from the U.S. were worse than the pain of taking in all those asylum seekers. But threats probably won't be enough. Trump will probably need to actually implement them.
It wasn't enough to threaten Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
If Trump decides that Mexico's efforts have been sufficient and they don't need to put a third safe country agreement up for a vote in the Mexican Senate, it's probably because Trump has decided that hitting Mexico with tariffs is bad for his reelection chances. In other words, whether he demands that Mexico put a safe third country agreement up for a vote in the Senate is probably about Trump's willingness to impose tariffs on Mexico in an election year.
Buy and sell your puts and calls accordingly.
What are the odds that Hillary didn't campaign in PA, WI, and MI because she was assured that Google and Facebook would take care of it, like they did for Obama in 2012? Just last week there was a hearing on how Google manipulated algorithms in 2018 that could have swung up to 25 percent of the vote.
I don't think she's dumb enough to not campaign in swing states... But big tech through Robby Mook assured victory. The problem with 2016 was that the same tools they used were also used by Trump's team through Cambridge Analytica...
This very activity was cited in the FTC report on Facebook. Anyone not winning at the behest of neo-liberal globalism must be shamed and pay the price
How the f--- could Google change 25% of the vote? Is it that powerful and voters that dumb? I'm afraid I know the answer.
The hearing of Dr. Epstein is on Twitter. I'm not going to argue that number is accurate but even if it's 1 percent I'm not sure how you can support both Google and Democracy
*youtube
Yes, it is ironic that it's on youtube. They can't and don't censor everything
As if SF isn't already a bubble, let's make sure *nothing* is mentioned but what we already believe:
"Politics is ‘hot this year,’ and so is Mission District hangout Manny’s"
[...]
"“Politics is hot this year,” Manny Yekutiel, the owner and master of ceremonies, told the sweating crowd of 150 mostly young people. “So remember what you’re feeling here.”
[...]
“San Francisco didn’t need another coffee shop, bar or restaurant. We have plenty of those,” Yekutiel said in an interview. “We wanted a place that was useful.”

According to the quote, that scumbag actually said "useful".

She wasn't 'charged'. She was thrown and it's not so safe with domestic animals either.
However, as long as you don't get gored, kicked, or crushed, it is or can be fun.

Sorry to distract from the Old tired man forgetting what's in his report, but I heard an interesting theory last night...
The progressive wing of the democratic party is actually promoting imperialism through high taxation, global wealth redistribution, and the promotion of migration. They want to take over the shithole countries by making them dependent on US Aid, both provided by the government and through immigrants sending money back home. These countries will be gutted through this process, as will the US. This is an attempt to expand the US global influence through economic takeover rather than geographic takeover.
Anywho... I'm sure plenty of scholars have talked about this... curious why Reason doesn't consider this a problem
And before any says "Reason has never supported such a thing" ... why does no one at Reason call it what it is, rather than insist high taxation and open borders is good faith policy?
There is probably something to this.
The USA and Europeans have been undermining Central and South American self-rule for over a hundred years. Europe has done the same thing in Africa for more Centuries. Britain did for hundreds of years in India.
With that being said, the damage is done and where do we go from here? Staying out of other countries business would be a great start.
The Chinese company says the hands-free device replicates a human vagina in terms of 'temperature, wetness, and amount of light'.
ROFLMAO! - When you're surprised to learn about the sensitivity of your own penis to the light levels inside a vagina.
I suppose if it were inside the vagina and I could still see it it might be off-putting. Maybe.
One of my uber liberal friends on Facebook just admitted that "Mueller's health has really gone down hill over the last couple of years." Damn, these hearings must be going really badly for him.
Just six short months ago, these people assured us that Mueller was going to hang Trump by his entrails. These stupid fucks bought prayer candles with his picture on them.
I guess they're finally accepting that they put their faith in a false God.
A federal court just refused to hit Trump's new travel rules with an injunction. These are Trump's rules that require asylum seekers to seek asylum in the first safe country they enter--without any safe third country agreement.
https://www.npr.org/2019/07/24/744860482/trump-administrations-new-asylum-rule-clears-first-legal-hurdle
There are other courts about to rule on this from other angles. I still don't expect these rules to survive scrutiny by the courts.
They will absolutely survive. There might be a district judge or two who is a big enough hack to strike them down, but no way will the appellate courts affirm that.
Trump Administration's New Asylum Rule Clears 1st Legal Hurdle
Uh-oh. While reason was following Twatter about Mueller, a judge slipped in a win for Trump's change to asylum rules.
China warns of war in case of move toward Taiwan independence
There you have it folks, the Communists of China will go to war if Taiwan wants to be more independent than they are now.
The Communists of the World are enemies to what America stands for.
If they can release Trump's state tax returns, they can release yours, too.
Personally, no I don't have anything to hide. Despite that, you SURE AS HELL don't have a right to violate my privacy that way. Whether Trump has anything to hide is irrelevant. He has as much right to privacy as you or I do.
