Brickbat: A Cat House No More

Following a complaint, the San Francisco Fire Department has forced EMTs to remove a cat they adopted five years ago from Station 49. Officials said the cat had to go because the station is an ambulance deployment facility, and having the cat there posed "public health and safety concerns." But those who work at the station said the cat was not able to get into the clean room, and medical supplies are boxed up anyway.

Start working at home with Google! It's by-far the best job I've had. Last Wednesday I got a brand new BMW since getting a check for $6474 this - 4 weeks past. I began this 8-months ago and immediately was bringing home at least $77 per hour. I work through this link, go to tech tab for work detail.

Some people just aren't happy unless they can make other people miserable.
Now THAT is worthy of a bumper sticker
Good. You don't want cats on a ride-along, they'll sit on the patient's chest and suck their souls out through their mouth, everybody knows this.
And they eat your face when you die.
Did they send the cat to meowschwitz?
I hate cats. And I'm an asshole. Still wouldn't do this though.
In the bad old days, cats were in fire stations to prevent mice from chewing on the hoses. Today union employees are probably getting $120K a year starting salary and they come around once a year to put out green non-lethal mouse traps in which the mice have to die slow deaths because they only pick them up once a year. The payroll deductions from these public employees to the Democratic Party is a sure form of national death sentence.
I've heard of firehouses having cats to help keep the vermin population down. It seems like this would be especially helpful in San Francisco, which is becoming the Street Poop Capital of the World.
The San Francisco City Council could use more cats.
That place is filled with pussies.
The San Francisco City Council could use more cats.
"All this over an 'anonymous' complaint that was made with malicious intent,"
AKA asshole.
"Following a complaint,"...??(singular).
We've devolved from the tyranny of the majority, to the tyranny of the minority, to the tyranny of the individual.

The mice and insects are allowed in though.
"But those who work at the station said the cat was not able to get into the clean room, and medical supplies are boxed up anyway."
Medical supplies are probably not the issue. The main issue is probably cat dander getting into the ambulances themselves and a patient having an allergic reaction. Of course if that's the concern, dogs would be as much of a problem as cats.
It is SF after all, certainly some level of "I'm allergic to pussy" is to be expected...
I have a severe cat allergy. I can tell within a minute anytime I'm in a room with a person who owns a cat. I'm sure the emergency personnel think they are doing a good job of keeping supplies clean, but that isn't a complete solution. A person with cat allergies and asthma could have a real problem just by being near these good people.
Since the cat has been there five years, there's clear evidence of the times it's endangered people, right?
