East Ridge, Tennessee, Acting City Manager Kenny Custer has fired a police officer for having a sexual relationship with a high school student. An 18-year-old high school student. Officer Adam Rose, 29, met the girl at a grocery story where they both work. They both insist the relationship did not start until she was 18, and her mother reportedly said she was OK with the relationship. An internal affairs investigation found Rose had violated no laws or department policies and recommended no action be taken. But Custer said the Rose's actions were "contrary to the community standards."

What is outdated equipment for a SWAT team? What kind of "up-to-date" equipment was he yearning to use on the citizens?

The one good cop being targeted by the rotten barrel or a bad cop they've been trying to find an excuse to get rid of? If we're playing the odds I know where my money would be. He's a 29-year old dating a teen-ager, we already know he's got something wrong with him if he can stand being around a teen-ager for more than 5 minutes.

The police chief has also been suspended by the city manager and the whole police department might be a little wormy. There might be something else going on here, maybe a power struggle between the city manager and the police department and I wouldn't bet on which side to cheer for.

Community standards dictate that you should date 18-year-old girls only after they have two kids from different men and are on the dole. Otherwise they're too wholesome to be dating cops.
